RAM LEWIS DIZON
It’s been several months since I hurt her feelings. I know I love her so much, pero wala akong magawa kundi ang mas piliin si Lindsay. I can’t even think of another ways to break the engagement off. Buti na lang eh, kusa nang umurong yung parents niya. I really don’t know what happened.
Somehow iniisip kong gusto ni Francine yung mga nangyari. Iniisip kong baka siya ang may kagustuhang tapusin ang engagement namin. Why not? She has all the riches in the world.
“Anak. Goodmorning” bati sakin ni mommy. Papasok pa lang ako sa school, since engineering ang course ko may isang taon pa akong bubunuin.
“Goodmorning ma, where’s dad?” tanong ko sa kanya. Hindi ko kasi napansin si dad sa dining table.
“Naku anak, maaga siyang umalis. May flight siya to Paris today” Mommy.
Paris? Isn’t that where my brother is?
“Why?” umupo ako at nagsalin ng pagkain sa pinggan ko.
“He’s fixing your kuya’s marriage, kasama niya yung lola ni Francine kanina” Sagot niya, sa newspaper nakatingin. “Look” sabay turo sakin ng diyaryo.
Napahinto ako. “Montereal’s heir Francine Reese Montereal Aragon and fiance Royce Leroy Andrada Dizon has now finally picked the date of their marriage” yan yung headline. Shet! Binasa ko pa yung body at nabasa kong next week na daw pala yon. And they’re planning to get married in Paris.
“Aren’t you going to his marriage? I mean a family member should be there for their special day” tumingin sakin si mommy dahil sa tanong ko.
“Ofcourse were going” natulala ako sa sagot niya. We are? Kasama ako? Hell no. I don’t wanna see my love to be wedded by my brother.
“I don’t think I can come, I have midterm exams coming ma” Pagdadahilan ko. Pero totoo namang may exam ako.
“You can always take a special exam hijo. It’s your brothers wedding day” Mommy.
Ofcourse. It’s my brother’s special day but my most miserable day.
Pero mukhang hindi papayag si mommy na hindi ako sasama “I’ll talk to my professors, I’ll tell you the details later mommy. I’m going” may pahabol pa siya pero hindi ko na narinig.
