The final year at School

Chapter 15: "Proud Mary" and "Grease Lightning"

My crush was gone. The days went past of sadness and me using Firemaster, Matt and Tom as a punching bag with the devil still holding the school was the current days. he was looking at me powering my friends and as my love was gone and friends leaving me I found myself lost.

One day the devil heard the Blackstickers along with some of the girl dancer from the Death forest playing a song with Mel should have been singing this song to me but with what happened it was aimed at Denyar whose armour hero was gone completely.

All powers my friends had went quicker than a blink of an eye but Mel’s still were on as I still liked her but only her singer power remained.

But when she sang every person that would normally hang around when it was me and the band weren’t around with her. Air monks and the band played an Irish hornpipe this coupled with the happy smile of Skye made me feel a little happy.

“So dancing helps” the Devil was in my head again.

“Devil, if you can’t dance tell me now because I can’t fight a person like you without a theme to it” I said looking up when Matt played a tune that made me feel the power.

It was ‘All I need is love’ by Cee lo Green but this was the instrumental version. I dance to it with powers. The Devil watched my jump and dance style then as Matt joined in with more power. The song made feel the friendship I had with my mates. It was interesting to see my year 10 friends watching me be happy and be unhappy about it.

Dancing like a team was fun choosing the right key dance move and with me clapping. The Devil looked at me and hit the heat on the song and when it hit the ground the flame built up with such heat I flicked up air which I forgot fuelled it. Lizer popped it and flicked up water which steamed it.

Then there was a beat and rap being played and the Devil heard a year 12 rap it well and afterwards I hi5ed him for it.

The days went on and the Devil was now forced to leave due to the winter was finishing and the warmer weather was settling in. This time the show was coming up and The Team were invited again but the goats weren’t going this year and so I had myself at school with some of the people but the year levels that were left they had a treat.

Recently the state had Grease the musical in town and I was liking the songs that is in it so Matt took a couple of songs and after the other day seeing Flyguy disappearing he put in the student bulletin this.

:Too all student on the Basketball court join the Super Magic Team for a song from Grease: As my home group teacher read it out the school was excited on it as I was not knowing what they were going to do I was sitting in J block when I got a call.

“Davo, your wanted now by Matt” Lizer rang on my phone.

I ran for it. Then an oldish car body was under a sheet. Matt then stood near the car body and said

“Chitty Car is about to get a makeover with one song”.

“Well the car could Automatic”, “Systematic”, “and Hydromantic”

“Well it’s Grease Lightning” Matt said just as the bell had ranged from Recess.

Matt, Tom, Spiderninja, Lightman and Kickman with Me included all stood our ground and did the T-birds from Grease proud.

As we sang everyone in the school clapped along. With all joining in the dancing as Matt programmed the Wig Jive Cams to follow us as we danced. Matt then heard the part where Lightman and Flyguy both disappeared along with the old car.

Then Matt and I did a Guitar solo together well Matt playing a rule Guitar and me free styling it. With the guitar solo came for clapping while I clapped Matt walked towards the year 10 lockers. Then as it finished the car appeared.

A Shiny five seater coverable Appeared with Lighting and SMT written on it was now where Chitty Car was and as Kickman started it up the song ended.

“So Grease Lightning a little copy of the Grease car lads” I pointed out.

“Not when our Chitty body was changed into this into the first place” Lightman corrected me.

Anyway with the Cameras getting the whole dance it was broadcast to the Royal Show and the show people were please even though the goat club wasn’t there the SMT came with more songs and fun like they did last year.

Mel and my year 10 friends so that I had a spark with the year 12’s on the day. I then was with the SMT and as we played more dancing and catchy tunes. When the Humbots, Anba Cats and the Fireninjas dropped in they stood on the Basketball court in front of us and the Devil floating on the embers holding him above the ground he then look at the scared year 10’s and the brave year 12’s standing next each of the teams.

“Brave peers” He sniffed.

“Dead god?” Noel joked.

Everyone Giggled at that joke “We’re brave but we are more adult then you are” I kicked the ground as Silver and gold lights formed around me then my peers felt my power as they too had parts of my power given to them.

“My powers come from within me” I told them all. “But as we are mates I will give you a taste of my power in each of you have a hidden hero to use” Matt looked at me as I look at him he knew it wasn’t me speaking through.

“Kalanact” I said to myself.
