The final year at School

Chapter 10: Winter and The Fire Storm

It took seven weeks to talk to Mel again but over that time the team and I were still on the business of the shield and what it meant to be.

Matt was still looking on his computer for a way to get out of it and Tom was seeing if a hole or water source could be done so he had some advantage. But Light-man got the nail on the head with that he saw something that they couldn't see.

"Oi! David have a look at the shield" Light-man asked.

"Yea it's a normal dome" I answered.

"So the dome also has a middle starting point right" Light-man pointed in the top of the dome.

"Oh I know what you mean" Tom said.

Tom explained it to me as I'm going to explain to you a normal shield has the whole of the dome with three point to the creation of the shield but the one at Urrbrae didn't have a top it was opened air so Fire could burn with the oxygen it needs and then Matt Remember someone and ran off to find her.

Meanwhile at School me, Denyar and Chel were all still talking and Mel along with Sike lost their powers and Chel was lost with her powers.

"So your friends in the air should land here and be good enough to get them gone" Denyar asked after I told her what was happening.

"Pretty much" I replied.

"But they weren't be able to fly out well fly straight up" Denyar hinted as she pointed out the problem the monks will have fly up in a straight line.

The monks knew this and even Fly-guy our equal to Superman even knew this about flying up in a straight line is hard on you. Fly-guy planned to do a spiral effect on them should get them out.

Matt, Light-man and Kick-man were planning the base of the attack while I was still getting over the broken heart of Mel not going out with me. But the Team had an idea and they knew I would enjoy it.

Kick-man and Tom were having a Piano ragtime melody which was fun. As I heard them playing I walked over to them and Tom started to play some cords and as he did I knew the song.

As I sang it year 12's and 10's all clapped along. But I as the team played the Instrumental version which was 'Just can't get enough' by Depeche mode which as we sang it together the whole crowed danced and I did all of the air instruments I could do. But then Mel heard me and knew why I was singing it.

While this happened Lizer appeared next to me and as she did I waited for the tune to stop and the crowed started to yell.

"Another song"

Then Dizela and other music players appeared and as they played a tuning up theme Matt stopped them by tapped a stick. As they purse then a Swinging beat was played and two other girls of the team appeared Gemese and Deti both were in the right outfit for the dance.

They were in long dresses and I magically clicked and a top hat appeared and we dance to a song called 'Swing another mood' By Jive Bunny and the Master-mixers. The boy's eyes lit up as the girl sang and as Jack started to sing I danced to the song with me doing silly walk and Mel was looking away as I dancing the swing type dance.

Denyar was into it and as we danced together people commented. We didn't care we were dancing madly and as we did I had my eyes on Mel who smiled and had the What the hell look which always results me getting in trouble.

Mel and I danced together until the bell went and we were apart all of our subjects. As that was the case we would then not talk until the next time we saw each other.

As days went on the mornings were getting colder and colder with the year 12's having our jumpers I got mine with Davo on the back of it and everyone knew me for that name. But as it was getting cold the team knew what could happen and so Matt and Fly-guy were setting everything up.

While Fire-master and I were training against each other. Fire-master was using his ninja skills and trying to teach the art of listening.

"One problem with that Master" I pursed as he replied with "Your hearing is taken to account but your dragon instincts should take over" Fire-master said holding a sword from the handle about ten centimetres down.

"Matt told me about the swords and other weapons that the fire, dark and the other bad guys use" I told Fire-master "But how do you fight them"

Suddenly a sword flow passed me and I caught the handle in my left hand. Then I flicked it up and Fire-master caught in the air.

"Nice reaction" he commented.

I then flick up some fire and water which made very hot steam and as Fire-master got it in the face "Ok David terrible reaction" Fire-master coughed with all the steam in his face.

Then as the steam disappeared I stood looking at the ground. As weeks went the weather was getting colder and as it Matt and team had The A-Team theme tune playing each day while they were putting things together to get ready the planned attack.

Tom and I were getting all of the blankets shields unfolded as it was time for me to take arms an army of Death Forest forces and Air monks were setting the blankets up Student looked at us as they put it up.

"What are they for" Denyar asked as she would be wondering.

"They're shields" Tom said.

"What?" Denyar looked at me.

"They're Blanket shields they cover the opened areas when you're out and about or in lesson and when its break it stops you guys from getting hurt" I explained.

"I bit a woollen Blanket keeps you warm accept it's the human in and the bad guys out" Kick-man finished.

"Yes and winter is here and the fire storm has arrived" I said to myself.
