"Chloe!" Beca called out but the redhead didn't stop. "Chloe, wait!"

Beca chased after the girl but knew Chloe wasn't going to stop so she did the only thing she knew would stop the girl.

"Chloe! Don't stop playing Bye Bye Love!"

The redhead froze in her tracks just as she was about to open the door. Beca watched the girl turn around and look at the brunette with a shocked expression.

"What did you say?" She uttered.

Beca held up the sheet music. "Don't stop playing to come and see me. Please..."

Chloe looked at the music in Beca's hand her face fell.

"Come back to me... Please..." Beca held out her hand with tears in her eyes.

Beca and Chloe sat across from each other in the music room they were just in. They were silent for a little while but Beca was waiting for Chloe to speak first.

"Where did you get that?" Chloe finally asked, pointing to the sheet music.

"From my dad."

"Your dad?"

"Yes. He said that you gave it to him."

"I did?"

"Yes. That was your music assignment."

Chloe looked at Beca as if she had just seen a ghost.

"How... how did you know that I was going to give it to him?"

"Because he told me you gave it to him. You told him not to follow the instructions and to hide it so nobody could find it - not even you... Why?"

Chloe hooded her eyes. "Beca... I was prepared to never see you again after what just happened..."

"Chlo... what does this music do?"

Chloe sighed then looked at the brunette. "It takes me through time. I have to play it at a certain speed to travel forward to see you. I have to think of a time where I want to go and every time I played, I thought of you."

"And do you have to play it fast to go back to your time?"

"No," Chloe shook her head. "All I have to do to go back is to leave this building. I don't exactly know how it works but because I'm not from your time, I can't be in it. How... how did you find me?"

"My dad had a plaque of you in his office. You... you died."

"I... died?"

"Yes." It pained Beca to say.

"H, how?"

"Depression."

"Oh my God..." Chloe ran her hands through her hair but Beca reached up and took Chloe's hand and kissed it, making the redhead look at the brunette's glassy eyes.

"I'm so sorry, baby... This is all my fault."

"What do you mean?"

"Your death... it was all my fault. You ran out the door and I never saw you again."

"I chose to run, Beca... You can't blame yourself for that."

"But... you died because of me..."

"Beca..." Chloe reached forward and wiped the girl's tear away from her cheek. "That wasn't your fault."

"It was... I'm so sorry..."

"Beca..." Chloe cupped Beca's cheeks when the brunette looked down. "You weren't to know..."

"It all happened twenty years ago... we met twenty years ago..."

"I know... but I kept coming back to see you."

"But why? If we can't have a relationship... why did you keep coming back?"

"Because I love you."

Beca broke down in tears when Chloe said it and the redhead immediately took the girl into her arms for a hug.

"She kissed me, Chlo..." Beca sobbed. "I didn't want it... I didn't even like her that way... She kept coming onto me but I kept pushing her away but she saw us together and kissed me..."

"Oh, Beca..." Chloe sniffed. "It's okay."

"It's not..."

"Shh..." Chloe kissed Beca's head several times and held her until Beca settled down. "Shh... That's it... Good girl..."

Beca pulled away and wiped her eyes. "I'm so sorry, Chlo... I really am."

"Me, too."

"What for?"

"For not telling you. I gave you false hope."

"What do you mean?"

"Beca... we can't be together the way we want to be. We're from two different worlds. I don't belong in your world and you don't belong in mine. You don't even exist when I do and vice versa. I knew it was wrong for me to keep coming back but I couldn't stop. I... I fell for you and loved you... I still do... You... you have no idea how much it hurt seeing you kiss that girl."

"It was an accident. She came onto me. I didn't even want it. I... I was actually going to play a song for you - an original."

"You were?"

"Yes. I made it for you. I was going to sing it for you then... ask you to be my girlfriend."

"Oh, Beca..." Chloe tucked a strand of hair behind Beca's ear. "You're such a sweet girl. You act all tough but deep down you've got a big heart. I mean, you travelled back in time to save me," she chuckled.

"I did," Beca breathed a laugh. "I couldn't bear the thought of you not living a long and happy life, even if I wasn't in it. You deserve the world, Chlo, and I took it away from you."

"No, you didn't. You made me happy."

Beca hung her head, trying to fight back more tears that were surfacing. "Why are we talking as if we're never going to see each other again?"

Chloe looked at the brunette with sad eyes. "Because we're not."

Beca clenched her jaw tightly.

"Not in this world."

Beca frowned then looked up at the redhead perplexed. "What do you mean?"

Chloe reached forward and took Beca's hand. "If you truly love me like I love you, then there's a way we can be together."

"I do," Beca nodded frantically. "I do, I love you. I love you and I'll do anything to be with you."

Chloe smiled at the girl, trying not to cry herself. "Then we can be together."

"What do we have to do? Whatever it is, I'll do it."

"It's simple but... it will come at a cost."

"Chloe," Beca reached out and held Chloe's cheek as they looked at each other. "I'll sacrifice anything to be with you. Anything."

Chloe smiled at the brunette lovingly. "I thought you might say that..."
