When Chloe got back to her dorm she ate her dinner then flicked through the sheet music once more. She was intrigued by the song. It sounded beautiful in her head and she wanted to know what it'd sound like on a piano and more specifically on THAT piano. Chloe always wanted to play a Bösendorfer and so the following day, Chloe went out for another walk later in the evening and she headed straight to the music building and to that room with the piano. Chloe shut the door behind her and placed the sheet music on the piano. She pulled out the leather stool and sat. It was comfy and it was obvious that someone had sat on it before. Chloe got comfortable then gently ran her fingers along the keys.

She smiled down at them before looking up at the sheet music and she began playing the song softly. She was out of time and some of the notes she got wrong and it took her a few tries to become familiar with the song and how it sounded. The redhead hadn't played the piano in a while so she was a little rusty but she hadn't completely lost her talent. Chloe was practising the song for a good half an hour before she managed to relax and start over. The girl took a steady breath then rested her fingers on the keys before she began to play the song perfectly. Chloe read the notes off of the paper and her fingers did the rest. She wasn't even fully aware that she was playing the song how it was meant to be played. Chloe could hear that the song was beautiful but she wasn't listening to it completely since she was too busy reading the notes in front of her.

The song was magical. Chloe had never heard anything like it before. It made her feel something inside of her that she never felt before. The song was soft but it had intense parts but overall, the song was rather melancholy. Just when you thought the song would turn upbeat, it changed into a dark and glum tone. It was powerful and moving. Chloe didn't even realise she finished the song until she had reached the end of the page. Chloe sat back, speechless. The song was beautiful and she was so proud of herself. And the best part? Chloe found a little bit of inspiration. It wasn't a lot but it was a start.

Chloe sat in front of the piano for a few moments, relishing in the silence that surrounded her until she grabbed her phone and checked the time. It was odd since Aubrey would have called her back now for dinner but she didn't. Chloe didn't think anything of it and decided to head back. She was getting hungry anyway so it was time to head back. Chloe left the piano, grabbed the music, and made her way out of the room. She felt very peaceful after playing the song and she couldn't wait to play it again. Chloe was about to leave the music building until she heard some music playing from another room. It was beautiful and Chloe had never heard it before. The redhead followed the sound, which led her to a room with a piano and other instruments in it. Sitting at the piano was a small woman with brown hair.

"Ah! Dammit!" She hissed.

"You play beautifully," Chloe said, making the woman jump.

Beca turned around and saw Chloe standing in the doorway. Usually, Beca would have been angry at anyone who disturbed her but seeing a pair of bright blue eyes and fiery red hair made Beca's anger subside.

"Ah... Thanks... I keep stuffing up a bit though..."

"What are you trying to play?" Chloe asked, making her way into the room.

"It's just a song I wrote but I just can't seem to get it. It's quite tricky since I need to cross over my hands to hit the right notes but I struggle sometimes."

"Is it for an assignment or anything?"

"No," Beca shook her head. "I just really like playing songs on the piano."

"Wow. That's impressive! You play very well."

"Thanks," Beca chuckled then looked at the woman who was now sitting next to her. "Have we met?"

"Not that I know of. Why?"

"I don't know... I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." Beca really did think she that she had seen Chloe but she knew that she wouldn't have forgotten her face if she did.

"I'm Chloe," the redhead extended her hand and Beca shook it.

"Beca."

"Nice to meet you, Beca."

"Likewise."

"Are you new here?"

"Yeah, this is my first year."

"Oh, yeah? Mine, too!"

"What are you studying?"

"Music. You?"

"Same."

"Oh, wow! I haven't seen you around campus."

"I haven't seen you either. Weird..."

"Yeah, weird..." The two girls stared at each other for several moments, getting lost in each other's eyes until Beca's phone vibrated.

"Ah, that's my dad. I better get going," she concluded.

"Oh, okay." Chloe shifted awkwardly as Beca got up and collected her things off of the piano and that's when the brunette got an idea.

"Hey, um... I'm here every day around this time. My roommate's a bit of a bitch so I like to get out when I can. Did you wanna, like... meet again or something?"

Beca wasn't sure what came over her but all she knew was that she wanted to see Chloe again.

Chloe smiled at the brunette. "Yeah, I'd like that. I need to make an original song for my music assignment so maybe you could help me?"

"An original, hey? I guess I could help you out..." She teased, making Chloe giggle. "Only on one condition though."

"What's that?"

"You gotta bring pizza."

Chloe giggled again, loving the brunette's wit. "You've got it."

"Great. I'll see you tomorrow then."

"You will."

"Bye, Chloe."

"Bye, Beca," Chloe winked at the brunette, sending chills down Beca's spine.

The brunette left the music room, feeling her heart beat a million miles an hour.

"Wow..." She breathed, running a hand through her hair.

Beca had no idea what just happened but she was already looking forward to tomorrow and Chloe felt the exact same way and she had a funny feeling that she was going to get some more inspiration really soon.
