La Tempestad(the Tempest)

Knock knock knock!
There was a knock on the door the following morning and Marianna instantly knew it was her assigned driver. She and her aunt had packed all their belongings in the sitting room expecting the driver. Graciela got the door as Mariana and Lucia locked all the doors and windows.

"Morning mam", the driver greeted as he entered the house. He was a tall,muscular and handsome man who seemed like a guard he also looked nice and friendly though.

" morning young man", Graciela replied as she didn't know his name. Mariana and Lucia came to join the duo in the sitting room and he offered to carry their luggage into the truck of the black SUV which he brought along. As he walked out, Mariana, Lucia and Graciela followed behind awkwardly and got into the SUV with Graciela at the front passenger's seat and Lucia and Mariana at the back seat. Mariana thought about how to bring her car along with her and as if the driver knew her thought he offered to come back to get it for her.

"So...I am Daniel arango mam and I'll be your driver throughout your stay in LA tempestad", the driver said to Mariana as they were journeying to San Francisco. Graciela and Lucia kept mute Mariana was conversing with Daniel as Daniel spoke more about the job and San Francisco.

" miss Mariana, you already have a house and this SUV and as a manager, you need to be up and doing mam, the company is quite fun to work in.", Mariana nodded as he kept ranting.

"San Francisco is also a very peaceful town as at the moment, and its also a wonderful place to be, I'm sure you would love it there".

" thanks Daniel, I'll surely love it there", Mariana replied sighing audibly. Graciela had already dozed off due to the tiredness she was feeling. Now she had no doctor to care for her anymore as she had left Mexico, glad she didn't leave her drugs behind too.

"Ana, what about the house, we can't just abandon it " Lucia said to Mariana as the journey seemed endless.

"Mom had planned to put it up for sale so it won't be abandoned aunt", Mariana replied tiredly, Lucia just nodded at the reply as she wasn't ready for any argument with her niece.

" we're here ", Daniel announced as he halted the car and got out opening the door for Graciela whom had woken up some minutes earlier.

" finally", Mariana and Lucia chorused together. They were in front of a large bungalow with beauty flowers surrounding its surrounding, it had a chimney which made it look more or less like a big cottage but it wasn't ,it was a beautiful house which was painted beautifully and designed skillfully by whoever designed it. It was more bigger than the one they left in Mexico.

"This is where you will be miss Mariana ", Daniel said as he assisted in taking their luggage into the house after unlocking the door and handing the key over to Mariana. They were all amazed and walked into the house admiring its beauty. They had forgotten Daniel was in their midst before he cleared his throat which brought them back to reality.

" miss Mariana, I'll be back in two hours to take you to LA tempestad so you can know how things are around there", Daniel said smiling Mariana. Weird,she thought.

"Alright then,I'll be waiting", Mariana said as he left leaving the SUV behind.

" oh,wait!", Mariana shouted and ran after him, he looked back amazed by her sudden speed.

"What's the matter mam?", he asked confused.

" uhm,you offered to get me my car which I left at Mexico remember? "

"Yes mam, I'll go get it now and that's why I said I'll be back in two hours to take you to the company, I could as well take you now but I need to get your car and I'm sure you need to unpack and rest, you won't start working till tomorrow but I was sent by the owner of the company to take you there today to know your duties", Daniel explained patiently. " oh, alright then,thanks", Mariana replied feeling embarrassed at her behavior.
"Bye mam"

"Bye", she mumbled and got back into the house which was furnitured to her taste.
