La Tempestad(the Tempest)

chapter twelve

Mariana waited patiently for Claire and the so called captain of LA tempestad ship.

Knock knock!,

“come in"...

“mam ana,this is Juan Pablo, the captain of the ship", Claire said smiling.

There was this tall,muscular, handsome guy with long dark hair, a pair of brown boots, a white tank top and black trousers... Gosh,he had a tattoo on his left arm which made him so hot. Mariana had never seen a guy this hot,so she thought though. She felt this guy was more handsome than Mendoza.

“good day mam"... Juan Pablo greeted her with his arm stretched for a hand shake. Mariana was woken back to reality when he spoke...she stood from her seat and shook him smiling, he also gave her his beautiful grin.

“hy,I'm Mariana,nice to meet you,you may have your seat...and um,Claire, you may take your leave,thanks". Claire nodded and left.

“so,I heard your the captain and that we'll have to work together as a team to achieve our aim", Mariana said professionally without being affected by his looks cause she didn't actually care,she just wanted to do her job.

“yes,I know Mariana ",... WTF, well he didn't call her mam like he did earlier, he called her by her name,Mariana looked shocked but didn't care..she didn't like people calling her mam by the way.

“ok,cool,so I would like to meet your crew cause I also heard you guys are going fishing today right?", Juan Pablo nodded.

“alright then,shall we? Mariana asked standing.

“yh...wait,what?", Juan Pablo looked surprised at her.

“i said shall we?, like let's go fishing", Mariana said looking a little annoyed.

“no way young Lady, you cannot come fishing on my ship,you're signing for a death sentence do you understand that?", Juan Pablo said in a bossy way like he didn't care. He didn't want a woman on his ship cause he felt a woman wouldn't be able to take the risks and care for herself on that big ship in the middle of the sea and he didn't want any disturbances.

“why?, cause I'm a woman doesn't mean I can't come with you,and I'm the manager so I can go if I want to and you have no right to stop me OK?, Mariana said in an angry voice and saw him as a rude guy and she wasn't going to let him or anyone intimidate her.

“it is my ship and I say who is to come in it and who shouldn't come,so I advice you to stay here on your little chair and keep yourself busy,we're leaving tonight and we'll be back in three days", Juan Pablo said in a calm but frustrated voice and left her office, she just stared angrily and banged her table with her palm.

Ring ring!
“hey ana,whatsup dear? ", Lucia asked eagerly.

“aunt,please I need you to help me pack some clothes and some other things you think I'll need on a ship that'll last me three days,I'm going fishing tonight ”

“wow,but isn't that risky dear?"

“aunt please its not risky,its part of my job"

“but...,you're the manager not a Fisher woman "

“look,aunt, you're being paranoid,please just help me pack,I'll be home in thirty OK?, I love you,bye" .

Mariana hung up and started packing her stuffs and headed to her car,she had called her driver earlier that she wouldn't be needing him and she had also told Claire of her trip so she wouldn't be expecting her at the office.

"Aunt,please tell Mom where I had gone to when she's awake,I don't wanna disturb her from her sleep,she hardly gets that”, Mariana said sadly and sighed.

“will sure do love, please be safe,I don't want my big sis to get all worried and I'm sure you don't want that as well", Lucia said with her arms on Mariana's shoulders. After the farewell goodbye between Lucia and Mariana, Mariana went to her car and drove to the sea close to her place of work where the ship would be leaving from.

As Mariana stepped out of her car,the whole crew turned at the sound of a car halting,they were whistling and commenting from the crew on how beautiful she was and were wondering what she was doing at the sea. Mariana didn't give a darn about what they thought as she walked closer to them with her head up high without any worries.

“ hey, I'm uhm...I'm Mariana, I'm the manager of la tempestad and I'm going fishing with you guys”, she explained briefly before anyone could ask questions.

“hey miss Mariana,I'm Damien,nice meeting you finally", one of the crew members came forward with a stretched hand and a smiling face,they were ten of them in total plus the captain of the crew.

“hi Damien, nice meeting you too", she said as she shook his hand lightly. The rest of the crew greeted her in a friendly way and she was already fond of them as she chatted gracefully with them while they were preparing the ship and taking supplies into the ship, the captain Juan Pablo wasn't there yet as they  had told her earlier.

“Why are you here",a deep masculine voice was heard and all eyes turned to the one and only got and sexy Juan Pablo. His entire crew which he also considered his family and friends noticed the harshness in his voice and decided to leave him and Mariana alone and they went into the ship preparing to leave as Juan Pablo was already here.

“ haven't I told you earlier?,I am going with....”

“you are going nowhere with me on that ship ok?,I'll advice you go back to the office and do your paperwork which is a lot more fitting for you". He said with harshness and arrogance as he gave her a deadly look. She didn't back off,she didn't want to be affected by him,she felt her heart sinking but she kept that feeling aside and growled angrily at him.

“look here Juan Pablo or whatever the fuck you call yourself, I am going whether you like it or not, now if you'll excuse me", she angrily said and  passed by his very tall and muscular figure and climbed into the ship and the crew turned to face her with sober eyes. Juan Pablo sighed and went to loosen the strong rope of the ship which was tied to a standing large log of wood and went into  to the ship , as he got into the ship he gave Mariana a warning glare and went Into the engine house of the ship preparing to sail away.

Marianna smiled mischievously as she was happy that he had no choice but to let her go.
