The next day, Mariana and her aunt went shopping alone cause they refused Graciela plea to go with them. They just had today to sort out everything they needed for their stay in San Francisco.

They just decided to shop for clothes cause it won't be easy carrying perishable goods to San Francisco as they would be given.

"aunt,check this out,does it fit?",

"baby,this is too sexy for a manager"

Lucia said jokingly as she checked her niece out. "wow,this little girl of yesterday "Lucia thought smiling. Mariana mentally rolled her eyes at her aunt's weird behavior.

"ill take it then, I'll rather look smart than to look all old aunt, this is perfect" Mariana said as she dropped the straight opened back gown in the cart filled with clothes which they have tried out. They didn't need shoes as they had a lot of those. They went to the cashier, paid for the clothes and went out of the boutique.

Mariana got into the driver's seat of her car as her aunt got into the front passenger's seat. They chatted all the way home about life,boys,fashion and all girly stuffs till they arrived home.

After a long day of packing and preparing for the next day of their journey, Mariana laid in her bed staring blankly at the ceiling thinking of what her life would have been with her father around. She hadn't even been told about him,how he looked like,all she knew was that he raped her mom and that's how she was given birth to. Where they even married, were they lovers? These were the questions that always ran through her head ,she could always get her answer but her mom wouldn't want to talk about it with her. But tonight, she suddenly decided to ask her aunt about it,she needed to know who her dad was even though she despised him for abandoning her mom after taking advantage of her.
Mariana got up from the bed anxiously and quietly tiptoed into her aunts room without even knocking. She met her aunt cleaning up her makeup.

"Aunt?"

"Yes love, why are you not in bed yet,you know you have a...." Mariana cut her off without letting her complete her sentence.

"I know aunt, but I need to ask you something which has been bothering me and I want you to be honest with me,please"

Mariana said with a cracking voice. Lucia didn't like where this conversation was going as a lot of thoughts ran through her mind of why Mariana would want to ask her something important at night,alone.

"I'm listening ana,what's it you wanna know?" Lucia asked trying to hide her nervousness.

"Who's my dad?" The question came as a surprise to Lucia. She was speechless.

"Your...your...dad?" Lucia stammered nervously.

"Yes aunt,I need to know why he raped mom and abandoned her with me"

Mariana said furiously. Lucia just stared blankly at her not knowing what to say. She couldn't bring herself to tell Mariana about her dad at this moment without the consent of Graciela. "Ana dear" Lucia said taking ana by her hand and seating her on the bed. "Uhm...its actually erm...not in my place to tell you that" Lucia continued as tears flowed down Mariana cheeks.

Mariana stood up and walked out of the room angrily as Lucia sighed sadly. "Mariana can't find out about her dad now if not she would be so broken and will even hate him more" Lucia said lowly.

Hehehe😄. Who do u guys think is Mariana dad. Gosh,this is so sweet to know.
