"Peter stop staring at her." I heard a voice behind me while I munched on my pizza. I narrowed my eyes and rotated my head towards the noise.

"Shit-" Peter said to the other kid, looking away as fast as he could. I stopped chewing and push my tray away from me, strutting over to the table.

Peter's head remained down, a rosy color reaching his cheeks. The other boy looked up widening his eyes at me.

"Pete," the boy said, nudging his arm. Peter's head popped up, almost startled when he saw me standing in front of me.

"Hey, Peter," I said, standing in front of their table, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Elena..." he murmured, his mouth gaping open, my name being the only word coming from his mouth.

His friend gawked at him then glanced to me before hitting Peter again on his arm.

"I mean- Hi, how are you?" Peter shook his head, cracking a small grin.

"I was wondering if I was allowed to sit with you guys. I am still new here, I don't really have many friends.." I laughed stiffly, letting my eyes wander to the side to avoid eye contact.  The hair in front fell into my face as I looked back up to Peter.

"Of course you can!" The other boy said. "I'm Ned. Peter's best friend." He put his hand out for me to shake it. I slowly put my hand out to shake it.

"I'm El-" I began but was interrupted.

"Oh I know, all Peter does is talk about you-" Ned started but was stopped by a loud noise, causing him to cringe in pain.

"Ah, sorry. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Sure you can." Peter said quickly, patting the table.

"Cool," I muttered, plopping myself on the seat in front of both Peter and Ned.

"Where are you from, Elena?" Ned asked, still recovering from what Peter did.

"Florida. A small town called Micanopy." I nodded, crossing my arms and leaning them on the table. "It's not as interesting as the city of course."

"I wouldn't doubt it. It's probably a big change from such a rural town to this." Peter mentioned softly, his eyes skidding to the side of me.  "It's nice seeing some new faces in this school at least. You kind of get tired of seeing the same people all the time. Especially-"

"Hey, Parker! Is that your little girlfriend you have there? Or are just paying her to hang with you?" Flash's voice illuminated across the cafeteria.

"Like that," Peter numbed, rolling his eyes. "Don't you ever get tired of harassing me, Flash?" He turned around to face the other boy.

It was obvious that Peter was so used to Flash's harassment, it barely even bother him anymore.

"No, not when it's you." Flash laughed.
