The worry of having to tell Peter about what had happened arose quickly as soon as I stepped into the school building. I wasn't the best at keeping secrets, especially my own. I strode over to my first-period class, deja vu hitting me in the face. I stepped into the classroom, expecting to see Pete's friendly face, but was delivered with an empty seat. I frowned instantly, feeling myself grow more worried from him not being here. I pulled out my phone, expecting to have a text from him, alerting me that he wouldn't be there. That's what he would usually do, as Spiderman's duties don't stop even during school. To my surprise, there was nothing there. My phone was blank from notifications, none at all from Peter. I bit my lip, lowering my head as I slid into my seat. I tried to focus on the teacher as he spoke, but I couldn't bear to stop thinking about him. It concerned me that something could have happened to him, a possibility of him getting hurt. Although I knew he was capable of handling things himself, there was a small chance of it happening.

Lunch hit quicker than I had thought, which nevered me evermore so, as he wasn't there as well. Ned seemed to be out, possibly at the library to study, so there I was by myself. I huffed, picking myself up from the lunch seat, leaving my food there. I pulled out my phone, dialing the boy's number and holding it against my ear. The phone rang... and rang, but yet there was no response. It was possible he could have missed it, so I decided once again to call him. The phone began to ring once more-

"Hello?" A strong voice came through the speaker.

"Peter!" I exasperated. "Thank god you answered. Why the hell didn't you text me this morning? I was worried something had happened to you." I raised my hand up to my mouth, beginning to bite the skin around my thumb. "I know people forget, but I was seriously worried."

"It's okay, I'm fine," Peter said breathlessly. "Come over, I have to show you something."

"It's the middle of the school day, Pete," I mumbled, glancing over to the cafeteria.  "I can't just skip my last couple of classes."

"Please," his voice was more urgent. "It's important."

I hesitated, taking a small breath in. I raised my hand to pinch the bridge of my nose, my feet causing me to pace back and forth. I didn't want to miss the rest of the school day, mostly because my mother would be over the moon about it... but, if it was urgent, I guess that's a reasonable explanation. Although if it's about Spiderman, I can't exactly explain that to my mother-

"Elena?" Pete's voice came through confused. I stopped mid in my tracks and turned to face the exit of the school. I bit my lip hard, enough to draw blood, releasing it after I did.

"Sorry-yes, I'm coming."

"Okay, I'll see you then." and with that, he hung up, leaving me alone on the phone. I slid my phone in my back pocket, strutting towards the doubled door exit. The bright sign glowing the words exit hung above. I sighed, carefully pushing the doors open before I sprinted. I turned around the corner, into the alleyway, so I was out of the view from the school. I got to Pete's house in record time, slowly opening the door without making any noise.
