The hot water hit my back, scalding it, but I didn't care. At that moment, the pain felt good on me. I was still digesting the fact that Peter was Spiderman. Even though it had already been days of me knowing, I felt ashamed to know I couldn't have figured it out myself. Someone I knew and talked almost every single day. I could even point out his voice within hundreds of people and know it was his.

I finished my shower, wrapping myself up in a towel. I flung my hair to the side, scrubbing it with another towel so it wasn't soaking wet. Just as I did, my phone rang, Harry's name written across it. I carefully picked up my phone, sliding it against my cheek, and leaning against my shoulder.

"Hey, Harry," I said, struggling to carry everything back to my room.

"I was wondering if I could show you something?" His voice seemed mysterious, something felt wrong.

"Is there something wrong?"

"No-no, everything's fine-" he paused for a moment, taking a sharp breath. "I just want some company if you don't mind."

"No, of course not. I'll be over." I went to hang up, but his voice yelled at me not to.

"Please just don't be scared." And he hung up without saying another word.

I paused, my eyes staring at my phone that was now blank. "Weird..." I murmured, dropping my towel slightly so I could put on my clothes.

I gasp arose from behind, making me turn around and snatch the towel from falling, covering myself once again.

There stood Peter, covering his lenses with his hands, shifting his body the other way. "I promise, I didn't see anything."

"Why didn't you give me some sort of warning?" I questioned, pulling the towel tighter on me. "God, you probably saw my ass-"

"Barely." He muttered softly, not daring to uncover his eyes. "I was checking up on you after the whole bomb went off a few days ago."

"And you had to check at this moment in time."

"How was I supposed to know you were going to be taking a shower at this moment?"

I sighed violently, crossing my arms over my chest. "Just turn around at least."

"Okay," he turned around, pulling off his mask, his brown locks falling out. "I'll stare at the beautiful wall in front of me. "

I quickly dropped the towel, sliding on undergarments in record time. I pulled on a plain red tank top, and skinny jeans. I looked in the mirror, smoothing out my shirt and my hair.

"You can look now," I mumbled, pulling on plain white socks, before grabbing a pair of combat boots.

Peter turned around to face me, his face lighting up just the sight of me. A small smile held on his face.
