"I wish you guys could see an ultrasound, they were fighting in the last one."

I sit on the exam table, looking across at Sherry and Jane who are joining me since Brad is busy working.  The girls are moving around excitedly, probably front the heartrate monitor they stuck on me a few minutes ago.

"They're just trying to warn you about what's to come.  You think it's bad with the boys, you're going to have two teenage girls at once."

"You're going to have so much fun," Jane agrees with her, reaching over to feel all the commotion "They're going to drive you crazy but you'll have fun."

I think about it, as I have been so often recently, a little unsure of how ready Brad and I really are.  Two boys is hard because they're constantly in physical fights, thinking they're playing, but I don't know if we'll be ready to handle two teenage girls and their constant hormonal arguments.

"Yeah, I'm kinda worried about that and my patience.  I'm surprised I'm so calm with Willow most of the time."

My doctor walks in shortly after, looking over my chart as she takes her seat in front of the table I'm on.

"So how are you feeling?  Are you finally rested from vacation?"

"As rested as I can be with 2 toddlers.  They're full of energy."

Dr. Jones gets all my measurements as we all talk, noting down everything from my weight, to the size of the measuring tape she wraps around my growing belly.  I look at the numbers in slight fear, reminding myself constantly that there needs to be plenty of room for both babies to grow.

"Okay, any questions?  You look great so far, all your vitals are where they should be, and you're measuring great for 6 months."

"Yeah," Jane surprises all of us, speaking up "I know you said her vitals are good, but what are her chances of developing preeclampsia again?  Are they higher since it's twins?"

"Typically, she would already be showing signs like she did with Zane.  Extreme exhaustion, dizziness, headaches... since she hasn't shown any of those yet, it's unlikely that she'll develop preeclampsia again this time.  I'll keep monitoring everything, especially closer to the end, but as of now I don't see anything to worry about."

"And how long do you think she'll make it?"  Sherry asks, obviously just as worried as Jane is "She didn't make it full term with Zane, could that be a problem?"

"Well with twins you normally make it to about 36-38 weeks, which we would consider full terms with multiples.  With the way she's measuring and the health she's in, I don't see any reason the pregnancy won't go to full term."

Since they both asked pretty much everything I'm worried about, Dr. Jones has me set up an appointment for a few weeks before letting us leave.

"Well that's good, everything is okay." Jane smiles, looking over at me as we drive "I'm excited to see this house, too.  Brad won't stop talking about it."

"He's so excited to have everything done.  I am too, but he's working with the designers nonstop."

We pull up the driveway, dodging all the construction equipment on our way.  Everything looks like such a huge mess now that they're working on painting the first floor.

"I'm kinda jealous, your dad's been able to see it before me.  He was here working with Brad on the kitchen the other night.  Apparently hanging cabinets or something like that."

I open the front door to see the beginning of what will be our entryway.  It's so different every time we walk in the house, making me more excited than I expected to see the finished product.
