Simply overwhelmed

"It's been a month already, if we don't start shooting this movie next week I won't be able to star in it anymore Jack, I have another movie I have to start in three months" I argue with one of the producers of my upcoming movie as we are being late.

"I know Jen, I'm gonna talk to them, we're gonna find a solution don't worry" "I'm not worried, I just need you guys to start asap, otherwise I'll need to step out of the project" "I'm on it" I hang up the phone, then start signing some papers when Laura walks in.

"Sherry called, your father wants to know if you guys can come dinner Saturday, and also Mark called,  he needs to know if Brad read the script he sent him but he's not picking up the phone" she says handing another paper for me to sign

"Okay try to call him on his cellphone, tell my father we will have dinner with them, Nobu 8o'clock....what is the paper for?" "Willow said it's her réadmission to Drama school" I nod then read the paper before signing it and handing it back to Laura "Thanks" I sigh as she gets out.

I decide to call Brad since no one seems to know where he is. "Hey wifey" "Where are you?? Mark tried to call you a thousand times and he said you need to read a script or something" " I left my phone at home I'm sorry...honey calm down are you okay?"

"Uuugh too much stress, I haven't started Dear Husbands and I'm shooting a new movie in less then three months...I have to start planning Zane's first birthday and mine, well if I have time for that, Nolan is starting kindergarten next week which means he'll probably cry like crazy....Willow is recovering from her surgery and going back to school next week too....and after all we're having dinner with my father Saturday night"

"Babe you need to slow down...I'm gonna take care of Zane's birthday and yours of course, we'll take Nols and Willz together next week okay?"

"Okay...thanks baby and call Mark please" "I will, I'll see you tonight at home"

"Okay, love you...oh where are you?" He hung up even before I had time to know where he is. I finish a meeting then go home as I'm exhausted. When I get in, Marie is feeding Zane while Nols is eating next to Willow

"Mamama!" Zane screams pulling his hands towards me so I can take him " Hi my love!" I take him then kiss him "Hi mommy" Nols says as he's really concentrated on his food "Hi honey, you're enjoying your pasta?" He nods then I kiss Willow

"Hi Jen...had a good day?" "Hi sweetie, well lot of work it was okay thanks...how is your stomach?" "It's okay, not really painful anymore" "Alright," I take a bite of Zane's food driving him mad. He really doesn't like to share just like his mother

"By the way Brad left a card for you" Marie hands me a white card I open it, thinking it's an invitation but it's written " 38 Melbourne Street Malibu, Love ya B" "What is it?" Willow gets closer to me to read the card "It's an address, I guess I should go there"

"It looks so exciting, can I come?" "Did he say come with Willz? I don't think so sweetie haha" She sighs then doesn't insist. I grab my keys and drive to the place. The sun is setting, I park to the place but it's an empty plot with a huge stone.

"The fuck?" I get out and walk closer to the stone, there' a huge sign saying "Welcome" and a map on the floor with a message "Please follow the map" I take the map then start start following the candles on the floor

"Here you are in the living room, pretty big uh?" I hear a voice. I immediately straightened my face to see Brad standing on a ladder. "What is that?" I laugh as he's getting down "You're in the living room, now go straight"

I walk then stop "Here you're in the dining room" "Wh...it's big....but honey" "Do you like the view?" "It's beautiful, the view on the sea is just amazing" "In about a year from now, this will be our house" he comes behind me then kisses me on the neck.

I turn facing him not believing what is actually happening "Wh...you...since...when?" "Haha I bought the plot two months ago and I thought why not build a new home and start over, I know you've been really stressed about everything and with Willow being sick"

"And you thought a house..." "Would be the perfect way to start over" He kisses me deeply "Should we continue the tour?" "Sure!" I say all excited as he pulls me towards the other rooms

. "That's Nolan's room and in front you have Zane's room" "Wow you really thought this through baby" "Yeah...Here there's a little living room for them and a playroom right there for the boys"

"And where's Willow's room?" I turn to face him "She's...right there, behind the boy's room" "And where's ours?" I ask all excited. He takes me at the edge of the plot "Stay here" then he starts walking as far as he can

"From where you're standing to where I am that'll be our room. I know you always dreamed to have a bed facing the sea so here you go...and you'll have a massive dressing" "You don't need to do that babe" I hug him "I know...but you deserve it all" he kisses me again

"And what if..." "What?"

"What if there's a new member in this family?" I smile, trying to make him understand what I mean "Well that new member will have a room too, we'll just need to make a new map for the house...should we be expecting a new member soon?" He asks teasing me

"Well I propose we work on that, soon" "Hmmm let's get you in a real bed then"
