Glow (A Place Called Home)

A light in the distance
A faint glow
Shinning bright
Could it be
A place called home?

A comforting laughter
Echoes louder
My hands shake
But my legs yet to faulter

One step at a time
Just a little more
A weary heart
But a hopeful soul

Could I reach out?
Could I embrace
That which I long to hold
That which makes me afraid

I want to glow
I want to bloom
But is it darkness
Which consumes?

And if I fall
What will engulf me?
If I reach for the sun
Will it only burn me?

Could it be a home
Or a prison?
Will I be chained
Bound by rules and opposition?

If I take hold
What will you do?
If I let go
Will this be the last I see of you?

As I hold on
With my last breath
Will this be the home
I saw over the horizon?
