Chapter Thirteen

** J Cole POV **

I looked at my phone && saw I had a lot of missed calls from Miranda so I decided to call her back

When I called , it rung about 3 times && then she answered

She told me that she took a pregnancy test && the test came back positive

When she told me this , my heart stopped && my mouth dropped

It felt like a nightmare && I was wishing I would wake up any minute

I just can't believe it ! Me , Jermaine Cole is going to be having a kid !

" We need to go to a doctor asap " I said to her

I told her I would make us an appointment to go to the doctor tomorrow morning . She said okay && hung up

As soon as she hung up , I called the doctor && made an appointment for tomorrow morning at 8:30 . Yes I know its really early but I just can not wait

I went to the bathroom && hoped in the shower . After I got out the shower , I tried to go to sleep but I couldn't . All night I tossed && turned . I didn't go to sleep at all

Next thing I know , its 6 in the morning . I have exactly 2 && a half hours until its time for the doctors appointment.

I got up && grabbed my phone . I called Miranda to make sure she was up

Miranda : Hello ?

Me : You up ?

Miranda : Nah I answered the phone in my sleep

Me : Look , just be ready when I get there Miranda

I hung up before she even got a chance to say anything else . I hate a smart mouth ass female

But anyway , I got dressed && everything then drove all the way across town to Miranda's house

When I pulled up , she was already outside . I guess she was tryna make it up to me for getting smart

She got in the car && we drove to the doctors office . When we pulled up to the doctors , I hurried up && got out so I can open her door for her ( yes , I know I'm a gentleman but my momma taught me manners )

We went inside the building && she sat down while I went to sign us in . After I signed us in , about 20 minutes later they finally called her name

" Miranda Jones " The nurse said

Miranda got up && stared at me nervously

" Miranda you gone be just fine ! I'll be sitting right here waiting for you , just go " I said to her

She took a deep breath && slowly walked up to the nurse , they went inside a room && I picked up a magazine off the table in front of me . I started reading the magazine && I saw picture of a beautiful young girl on the side . The girl as white , she had her hair in a pont tail , && it was a brownish color . I think the name under the pic said Ariana but shit , I wasn't paying attention but I starred at that pic until Miranda came out

About 10 minutes later , Miranda came out && she looked really nervous . She sat beside me && spoke

" It went great but I'm just really nervous about what the results gone be " She said

             ** 20 minutes later **

The nurse came out the door smiling with her hands behind her back

" Congratulations Mrs Jones " The nurse said as she handed Miranda the baby booties

Miranda looked like she wanted to cry && me , well I was just in shock

                  ** 30 minutes later **

We sat in the car at swensons && ate our food . " So what we gone do ? " Miranda asked me

" Im gone take care of you , you can move in with me , I'll get you a car , I'll help you find a job , we gone get through this " I said to her

She busted into tears

" What's wrong ? " I said

" Ughh your such an amazing guy Jermaine but this changes everything ! What is sister Joan gonna think , what is the church gonna think , what is my family gonna think ! We have created all these sins like we had sex before marriage , we're having a kid , we're moving in together , etc " She said crying

I started the car && drove to a diamond shop . When we pulled up , Miranda looked at me very weird

" Why are we here Jermaine ? " She asked with a confused look on her face

" Just come on " I said to her

We both got out && walked into the diamond shop

" Okay Miranda , I want you to pick 2 diamonds on diamond that you think is so you && one diamond that you think is so me " I said to her smiling

" Uhh okay " She said looking confused

About 10 minutes later she came back with 2 diamonds , one she thought was so her && one she thought was so me . I got them from her && paid for them . I took the diamond that she thought was so me && then I stood in front of her

" Miranda Jones , I know we haven't known each other that long but I'm falling for you , you different from all the other girls I dated , you special && I really think I'm starting to fall in love with you . You are such a beautiful , amazing young lady who is carrying my first child && Ik that you are afraid of what people are gonna say about us having a baby but I want you to know , you not in this alone , Ima hold you down && we gone be in this together so what I'm trying to say is , well , I want you to marry me && the reason I made you pick a ring that you thought was Soo you / Soo me is because I want to wear the ring that is so you && I want you to wear the ring that is so me so from now on when you look down at yo hand , you'll think of me && when I look at my hand , I'll think of you , so... Will you marry me ? "

Miranda was cheesing so hard && tears filled her eyes

" Yes yes yes Jermaine Cole I will marry you ! " She said

So , I'm guess I'm getting married
