Chapter Sixteen

** Miranda's POV **

                    ** 6 Weeks Later **

" We were at a party , I was about to leave && he offered me a ride home . He seemed a little drunk but I didn't think anything of it . I got in the car && told him where I live . Instead of him taking me home , we pulled up at his place . He told me to get out but I didn't . I asked why were we there but he grabbed me , pulled me out the car , && inside his house . He threw me onto the couch && forced a pill down my throat . Next thing I know , I was being raped && I passed out " Tinashe said crying on the stand

I can't believe this !  I can't believe Jermaine would be capable of something like this !

Jermaine is the most nicest , sweetest , kind hearted man you would ever meet ! Who knew

After Tinashe got dome telling her side of the story , everyone left .

We come back in a week to hear the jury's decision && if they plead him guilty , we here their sentencing

After I left from court , I went to the the doctors office

Today is the day that I find out what I'm having !

I pulled up at the doctors office && Sister Joan was standing outside waiting for me

Sister Joan has been so helpful && so supportive through all of this but Pastor Watkins , he hasn't been doing anything but making my life hell

I got out of the car && went && hugged Sister Joan

" Are you ready for this ? " She asked me smiling

I took a deep breath , " Yes " I replied

I really can't wait to hear what the baby is gonna be but I'm a little bit disappointed because Jermaine isn't here to share this special moment with me

Me && Sister Joan walked into the doctors office && she signed me in

After she signed me in , we went to sit down

About 15 minutes later , The nurse came out " Miranda Jones ? " She said

Me && sister Joan got up && walked towards her

She took us to the back && she recorded my weight , my height , && my temperature

After she was done , she pointed us to a room

About 10 minutes later , the doctor finally entered the room

" Hi I'm Doctor Kay , we're gonna go ahead && get started so can you lay back && we'll look at the baby " She said as she shook my hand

I laid back on the bed && Doctor Kay squirted Ultrasound Gel on my stomach

She turned off the lights && moved the probe all around on my belly

I looked at the baby from the screen && busted into tears

It was such a beautiful moment && Jermaine can't be here to share it with us

I was just staring at the baby && next thing I know , Doctor Kay shouted ; Its A Girl !

I started cheesing from ear to ear ! I'm having a baby gitl !

Sister Joan hugged me && we sat there && cried together

After we were done , I went straight to the jail to see Jermaine

I went && signed in

I sat down at the booth that Jermaine was at

It was big glass between us && we had to talk through a phone

" Hey , I miss you so much ! I went to the doctor today && ... I found out we having a girl ! " I said

He busted into tears

" Were having a baby girl ? " He said crying

I nodded . Its really awkward talking to Jermaine like this . Although I miss him , he could have raped someone ! I don't know if I want a rapist around my child

After we were done talking , I left && went to Mc Donalds

As I was getting out the car , I saw Tinashe !

I tried to pretend like I didnt notice the girl but she saw me && hurried up && ran to me

" What do you want " I said smartly as she approached the car

" I know that you don't want to talk to me but I just want to say that I'm sorry for everything " She said

She looked like she wanted to cry but I don't want her to see that I felt sorry for her

I rolled my eyes , slammed the car door , && shoulder bumped her

As I walked away , she stood there for a minute watching me , then she finally walked away

I know that none of this is her fault && that I should feel bad for her because she got raped && shes gonna have to live with that forever but , this effects me too like I'm having a baby with a rapist ! When I'm in labor , he's gonna be in prison , When I'm planning our babies first birthday , he's gonna be calling her from jail wishing her happy birthday ! He's gonna miss out on everything && by the time he gets out , she not even gonna know who he is ! I just feel like crying .

I went home && laid in bed , ate my Mc Donalds , then cried myself to sleep
