Chapter Twelve

** Miranda's POV **

                     ** 2 weeks later **

I sat in the bathroom Sittin on the edge of the tub with the pregnancy test in my hand

For the past couple of weeks I've been very emotional , I've been getting sick , && I've been craving things.

I had talked to sister Joan about it && she told me I might be pregnant . She went to the store && got me a pregnancy test

I just sat on the edge of the tub with the test in my hand . I haven't even took the test yet

I know what your thinking , what is she waiting on but I guess I'm just a little scared of what the result is gonna be

I ran out the bathroom && into the kitchen , I grabbed about 5 bottles of water && drunk them all then about 10 minutes later I had to pee . I grabbed the test off the counter && ran to the bathroom

                ** 20 minutes later **

I sat there in surprise with the test in my hand . The test came back with a very faint line on it

Btw : A very faint line means the test is positive

I really didn't know how to feel like a child is a very beautiful gift but I'm only 26 , I don't have a job , I don't have a car , && me && Jermaine aren't married

I don't know if I'm ready for this && how would the church react ? How would my family react ? They are all I have ! What if they turn on me ?

I know if I'm pregnant , the church isn't gonna be happy && if I get an abortion  , they're gonna be pissed

I'm honestly just so confused right now I don't even want to talk to Jermaine about it but it would be very rude of me not to tell him

I went in my room && grabbed my phone then called him . He didn't respond so I called 3 more times , still no answer . He must be busy. I thought to myself

Hmm who else can I call that will exactly talk to me instead of judging me && putting me down . I thought for a minute

" I can call my old boss Sam " I thought to myself . Sam is my old boss , he owned a shoe store && he was an amazing boss but his mothered died && he moved back to jersey to take care of his 3 little sisters && 2 brothers

I pulled out my phone && called him but he didn't answer . 5 minutes later he texted me

Sam : Hey! Sorry I didn't answer but I can't talk right now . I haven't heard from you in a while , what's up !

I explained everything that happened like how I met J Cole , && how I went to the party with && the video of us having sex ... I basically explained everything except me being pregnant

Sam : Damn ma ! It sound like you been going through it , you alright ?

Me : Yeah I'm coo I just don't know to do && I feel like I can't talk nobody about this without them judging me Smh

Sam : You know you can always talk to me about anything ma Ima always be here for you

This is why I love Sam ! He's always here for me && he always know the right thing to say to me

Me : Im starting to get ah headache so I'll hit ya up later

Sam : Alright stay straight lil ma

I went to my bed room && laid down && fell asleep
