**I believe from here on out the story will be in Third POV as it is less complicated. Thank you for your patience and enjoy**
"We are at the height of France, Adrien, we have strong military, maintained peace not just with our own people but with other kingdoms. Who dare challenge my empire?"
"Pirates."
He scoffed. Adrien opened his mouth to speak, but was stopped by Felix's stern look. "You and your fantasies, did we not recently discuss that these are merely hallucinations? France was too weak then to protect itself and its people, the events of the past cannot be undone. We must look forward and protect the people with us now. We haven't encountered pirates in since the day your father had his final breath. How could they have come back?"
"This is no hallucination. My men have sacrificed their lives protecting our border to an unfamiliar power. This is Gabbie from the lands of the unknown. She-"
"You girl, you are the one putting these thoughts in my brother's head?"
She stepped forward.
"I did not manipulate him in any way, I was raised to only speak the truth. I come from lands in the far east sent by my teacher to warn your kingdom of a powerful entity that has come to destroy these walls."
He leaned forward.
"The supernatural? Are you suggesting witchcraft? How can we trust your words.? If you come from the east to predict a disaster, then I accuse you of witchcraft, for how can one-"
They all watched the red-haired girl walk cautiously toward the window facing the sea. Her jaw slowly dropping, Adrien and Chloe followed only to see a dark cloud creeping over a ship emitting a purple aura.
"What is it!?" Demanded the king. He shoved his way passed the guards to his balcony, the skies darkened and a rumble echoed through the woods, he turned to see colors burst out of the woods and the tall, thick trees tremble.
The three youths transformed, Adrien called his men to the grounds. The king fell to his knees as he heard the whispers of the evils in the woods mix with the roar of the ocean. The castle shook, dust clouded the king's view into the castle.
Gabbie, Adrien, and Chloe stood at the point where both the woods and ocean began. The peacock held her defense field as the army lined up and loaded their bayonets.
The three magical wielders held their ground as the earth trembled, a building collapsed under a large wave of the salty sea. Their eyes stung from the rising dirt and salt, wind tangled their hair. The three drew their swords to touch each others' tip, which radiated a strong dark green flash, stopping the shaking.
All was still, the oceans were tamed and the trees were silenced.
Still, the ship neared the shore, the sun vanished behind the ominous clouds. The peacock's shield was the last source, a dim blue touching the shine of their weapons. Their breath grew heavy, then, from the woods, several crunches grew louder.
A group of kindled lights and colors emerged from the shadows.
Gabbie's face strained as she held her defense field, a red light flashed, cracking her blue field. Chloe dashed to the field with her honey but was struck down by a purple glowing branch. Blue and red bubbles ate at her field, Gabbie fell, her gloves stained with a dark, spreading liquid. Blood oozed from under her gloves, her breath ragged, her knees shook.
Chloe choked in a tight bound of weeds. Adrien cut her free. He carried her to the peacock to mend her hands.
Frantically, Adrien cried out, "Men, bring out the cannons, prepare the ships for defense, gather any villagers to fight. We must make haste!"
His men stared, fear-stricken.
"Men! Go as your general commands you!" He ordered. He followed his still men's eyes, turning back to the woods.
A red being emerged, a wave of dark energy pulsed, breaking through Gabbie's field. Gabbie cried out, her gloves now tattered. A slender figure, slinking closer to the miraculous holders. Behind the prowling form, the field which it pierced became a hole that allowed other beings emitting different colored auras to enter the safe haven. Many were similar to the first red shadow, but most staggered in.
Those looked more familiar to Adrien, his people from the borders. Their eyes dull and jaws hung from their faces, their arms dangled to their sides, tottering behind the powerful ones.
The dark ship stopped at the edge of the shore, others like the red being stood on the deck, their cannons glowed, the wood creaked.
The red figure now stood only feet away from the black cat. Gabbie fell into Chloe's arms, the shield fell. Villagers lit up the surrounding area, Chloe's incandescent spirit revealed these figures to be pirates.
Under the large red hat, Adrien could see a white sinister smile.
"At last, my dear Adrien, it has been too long."
He broadened his chest, "Who are you?"
Her sparkling blue eyes met his cat-like green eyes. No one had those enchanting eyes other than his lost friend. His shoulders fell, dropping a heavy pit in his stomach. "No." He breathed out. "You can't be."
Ladybug snickered. "Miss me?"
