Adrien fell to his knees; it was her; she was alive. She lifted her face so he could fully see her, her mask covered her freckles and her eyes, still blue, but glowed. The Lady in Red threw her hands out, never taking her eyes off of his, they pierced his green eyes. She smirked.
"You've done something to this place, it finally has some charm, loved the blue shield, but it was so restricting." Her fingers lightly danced, his clothes seemed to pick up under what felt like the wind. She frowned,  "Oh Adrien, I hoped you would be excited to see me, but you look so depressed. It's not a good look for you." She carelessly hid her giggle.
He couldn't move, he tried to break free, but she held on, paralyzing him. Her magic wrapped around him, lifting him, his hair and clothing whipped-but there was no wind.
"What have they done to you!?" He cried. "Mari, what have they done? They put a curse on you!"
"No." She kept composed as her hands threw him across the field, "You cursed me, they saved us from this trap. This cage you kept me in hid me from my true self. And when they opened the door, I reunited with my true self, my powers, the things you drained from me as you selfishly held me captive."
"Let him go!" The girls charged the scarlet being, but with a simple flick of her hand, they crashed into the soldiers. Then they rose up to only be taken down by the Lady's mates, Adrien called out to them, but his voice smothered under her magic.
He managed to pull his blade, which still contained the power it absorbed when the three touched swords. It severed the Lady's hold on him, dropping him to the ground. She glowed a more vibrant, radiant red.
"I know you're in there Mari, I just do!" He raised his sword, pouncing on the Lady. She cackled, "There is no Mari, I am Ladybug! Forget that stupid, naive girl; cower under me!" Her aura pulsated, driving Adrien and his men into the ground. The dust settled, the sky turned red, clashing with the incoming violet. The girls rushed to Chat Noir; the Queen Bee mended his wounds-however it was a bit sloppy under her shaking hands, and staggered breath-Gabbie pulled a shield over the two.

As king's men staggered back on their feet, her army grew: the Bubbler, the Lady Wifi, Volpina, and all the others grinning and glowing as their leader slowly descended. The Lady's boot grazed the dirt, and with the point of her gloved finger, her army charged.  From the sea, the dark ship aimed its cannons at the king's fleet, who, in turn, fired.

Our three heroes stood, dusting themselves off, Gabbie tore off her bloodstained gloves, and Adrien picked up his sword. As Chloe tied her hair back, she sauntered toward the charging villains. Her friends and the army following behind. She threw her hands out, sneering, "Alright, Miss Bug, bring it on."

                              The battle began.
