A world without magic

(Star's point of view)

"What? But if we don't have magic how will we survive?" I asked.

However, Astro just disappeared and so I decided it was best to just see how we might survive in this new world.

There was what appeared to be a school that people were running out of now. I saw Andrew's parents playing a game with a ball around a field. The goal of this ball game seemed to be to get the ball in the hoop. It was definitely an interesting concept to me. We did have some advancements with technology in our world though, never had this game been invented. I watched the game till it seemed to be over. I noticed moments where a small spark of some sort of magic would come out but I didn't think it was enough to cause any harm. So we would have magic but it would be so little we may as well be living in a world without magic. I walked through the school then and many people were on phones. They looked a lot different then the phones I was used to though. I was very curious as to how such devices had been made. There was also this thing called itunes on the phone. I wondered if it had anything to do with music. As I walked around I saw some people talking and asking about hanging around later. They were talking about some things we'd do if we weren't surrounded by danger constantly. A longing grew in my heart then. I suddenly found myself wanting this glimpse of a world to be real. After all, if there wasn't any danger then our friends and families could be safe and we could finally live in peace.

"The world isn't full of just rainbows and candies. There are some darker parts of the world that go along with it" Astro frowned as she seemed to have heard my thoughts.

"Show me" I asked her.

So I saw several scenes before me. It seemed to be the darker side of humans that made the darker part of the world. They did some horrible things sometimes. In that respect it was much like our world. Even we had that darker side of humans. Honestly, I should have known that something was all good with no bad.

"We need a balance is all. If we were all good we'd have nothing to learn to grow as a person" Astro told me.

Those words had a wise truth to them and I had to agree.

"Still, I almost wish this world could be ours" I sighed.

"Your so close to such a world. Be patient child. Good things come to those who wait. Five years is an important time frame for now. Then after this only another 17 years for the humans to grow up. Am I saying the world will turn into this world in five years? I suppose you'll have to wait for seeing such a future" Astro smiled at me appearing by my side again.

"Can we find love in this world too?" I asked.

"Of course. These children won't always be safe but they would be safer in this world. I would change it to such a world now but that requires magic I don't have as of now. I'll get it in time though. Just wait" Astro told me.

I nodded at her. "I'm sure you can"

She nodded and smiled back. "Oh and by the way when you separate Plete from the demon within, I have a feeling Lulu and demon Plete might make good friends. Just trust me on this. Though if anyone asks I told you nothing. I'm not really supposed to mess with the future. They are gonna end up together either way though" Astro smiled.

I sweat dropped then. "Your quite the matchmaker aren't you?" I asked her.

"Maybe just a little" Astro voiced before disappearing. When she did I saw a bright light and I stood back in the tunnel.

"25 years. It seems so far away and yet so close" I voiced then.

I continued walking towards the throne room. Now the hard part came in. That was getting Plete to drink the potion. I wasn't even sure if I was enough. I had to try at least. So I took a deep breath and opened the door. When I finally opened it I saw Plete sitting on the throne. Determination was in my eyes now.

"Well, look what the cat dropped in? What do I owe the honor of such a visit?" He asked.

"I don't care to talk to you. I'm talking to Plete. I know your in there and I believe in you. You may not have his kind of magic power but I know you can at least try to fight. If you feel as though you have no reason to fight then I have something I've been meaning to tell you but never could quite get out before. I love you, Plete" I told him.

A small blush formed on demon Plete's face and so I knew he was reaching him.

"Here, why don't we take a toast to your new kingdom?" I asked demon Plete.

"How do I know it's not poison" Demon Plete asked.

"I wouldn't risk hurting Plete ever. So you have my word it's not poison" I told him.

So he pulled the drink closer to his lips and for a second I thought I had won but then he threw the drink on the wall across the room. This made the drink spill everywhere on the floor. I kept looking in that direction wondering what I should do now.

A shadow had come over demon Plete's eyes then and he had pulled me closer to him so we were kissing distance from each other.

"Your trying to separate me into another body from Plete's" He guessed at my plan.

I looked at him as tears welled up in my eyes. "That was my one chance to save him. Why! Why would you do such a thing!" I yelled at him.

"Why can't you just accept that this is my body now?" He asked me.

"I'll keep fighting for him because I love him!" I glared at him.

"There's no such thing as love. The only important thing in the world is power" he told me.

"I can prove that love exists. True love that is" I told him.

"Alright then. Prove it" he smiled at me. You could tell he expected me to be beat. But I was determined to not be defeated.
