Jason and Jake

(Lex's point of view)

We'd been on the phone a while now getting to know one another and we'd even agreed to meet up soon. I heard a knock at the door then and so I told him I'd call him back. I then walked to the door and slowly opened it not sure what to expect. It was Jason though.

"Jason? What are you doing here and at this hour?" I asked.

"I came to see my kid. I heard Pixie was off on a mission a short while ago so" Jason said.

"Wait what? She told us you were having trouble accepting the fact that you had a kid" Lex said.

"It was her that was having trouble accepting that fact. Please just let me in. I want to see her or him" Jason said.

His eyes looked more sincere then they ever had looked before and so I stepped aside and let him in.

"Thank you. Where are the kids?" Jason asked.

"In our room we used to have as kids. It's a boy by the way. Just one" I said leading the way.

When I got to the door they were in Jason slowly walked inside and saw Jake.

"He's beautiful" Jason said as he looked at him lovingly.

"Yeah. He's certainly one of a kind" I said.

"Has he been taken care of? Feed and all that. I swear if Pixie didn't...." Jason began.

"No need to worry. He's been taken care of. Pixie has done some of the stuff needed but it's mostly just been me" I said.

Jason sighed. "If I had known she would have reacted this way I would have stopped her" Jason admitted.

"What did she really do? I'm not saying I don't trust my sister. It's just she's been off lately. I mean I even called her today and told her Jake was wanting to spend time with her and she said she'd do it when she got back" I said shaking my head.

"Jake?" Jason asked.

"Oh. It's what she named him" I said.

"Oh. I just asked her to marry me. She seemed like she didn't want to and I just got a little upset at that. Pixie just started kissing me a lot then to try and cheer me up I guess and then stuff just happened" Jason said with great pain in his eyes as he explained what happened.

"Pixie's not really the kind of girl to go for something serious like that. At least not without time to get used to the idea" I said.

"Well anyways, that led to her having him and she pushed me away after that. She also kept saying she was a horrible person. I wasn't ready to give up on us though. I tried to get her to meet me somewhere so we could talk about t. I even wrote her letters and bought her some stuff" Jason said.

"Your a great person Jason. If she doesn't that your at least trying to be a better person then she's blind" I said.

"Thanks I guess. I still send her something every now and then. I guess she hates me though for what took place" Jason admitted.

"She doesn't hate you and it's not your fault" I said.

"Thanks. You've been the one mainly taking care of Jake though right?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. Why?" I asked.

"Do you think it would be wrong of me to want to get custody over Jake?" Jason asked.

"No. Honestly I was thinking about it myself. It's just he deserves to be loved the way he should" Lex said.

"Thanks for the talk Lex. Do you mind if I stay here. Just till Pixie gets back? I want to spend some time with him and get to know him some" Jason requested.
