The demon within

(Plete's point of view)

We walked inside a castle. Inside it was extremely dark. Star and Aaron both seemed a bit uncomfortable. Aaron had gotten in front of Star protectively.

Suddenly a strong wind somehow came from within the castle and closed the doors. Now I couldn't see much of anything aside from Aaron and Star's hair. They were a bit bright in color than mine.

Star and Aaron both made fire surrounding them. They hadn't even noticed they had both been thinking the same thin but when they had a glare was earned from both of them.

"You just copied me" Star protested.

"Your the one who copied me" Aaron insisted.

"Guys I don't think that really matters now. We have to find the book remember?" I asked them.

"Yeah but isn't kinda strange that we haven't run into any trouble so far?" Star questioned.

"Yeah, didn't she said chaos was coming from this book?" I added.

Suddenly we heard whispers and laughter surrounding us.

"You think they know?" One voice asked.

"If they did why would they be here. We'll get just one more chance to live. Let's take advantage of this" another voice insisted.

Star shivered since it was getting cold then.

"Here, take my coat" I offered.

Star looked at my coat and glared at it as if it was some sort of monster.

"I can take care of myself" She stated turning her head away from me but even in the darkness I could see a small blush on her face.

I wrapped it around her anyway and she didn't complain. She still had her head facing away from me and still had a blush on her face.

We approached a big door then that seemed pretty important but it now opened on it's own.

It reveled a girl with long black hair and dark blue eyes. She had a dark dress she wore that even touched the ground a bit. A crown was on top of her head and the dress had a v shape to the front of it.

"What business do you have being here!?" She demanded.

"We're here on a business. We need the book of secrets. It's allowing chaos to break through and...." Star began but got cut off.

"You will not get the book of secrets. Should you put the key in it, my kingdom will be destroyed and I'm not okay with that!" The woman stated.

"Then is there some other way we could go about the mission?" I asked.

"Why don't you play with me mommy? Forever and ever and ever" A girl in the shape of a shadow asked.

"H....huh?" Star asked a little bit of fear in her voice.

"What's wrong? Don't you wanna stay daddy?" another shadow creature voiced to me.

Suddenly me, Star and Aaron were all in a bit of a circle as shadow creatures of all kind surrounded us.

"I'll never let you return home. Don't mess with the queen of nightmares. It is I Shadow Kitty!" Kitty spoke.

"We need a plan!" Star voiced.

Aaron was no longer in our circle and was charging after one of the shadow creatures. However they ended up bouncing the magic back at him causing him to come back towards us.

"Aaron!" Star said quickly transforming and thankfully was able to save him before he landed on the ground.

"You okay?" Star asked him.
