Saving Plete

(Star's point of view)

I had one last plan. I had drunk some of the drink before coming in here as a backup plan. I just thought that demon Plete wouldn't take too kindly to the idea of having a different body from Plete's. The only way to get it to him now was to kiss him. I just imagined it was Plete and so I pulled him close, wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. Slowly some of the potion came to Plete and when it did a light surrounded both of us. There was all kinds of magic around me as I was helping Plete out with the fighting and I was determined to save him no matter what. Eventually we rose into the sky and my hair started flowing and my eyes glowed a white color. The next thing I remember seeing is Plete's smiling at me as I pulled away from him, Lulu and Aaron coming into the room, the demon form of Plete. The last thing I saw was white.

(Lulu's point of view)

Plete carried Star in his arms now. Aaron glared at Plete then. "I got her. You can take care of the demon" Aaron told Plete as he took Star from his arms.

"I got this actually. You two can go ahead. Don't worry he won't hurt me" I smiled at them.

"Well you do have the magic of time. Be careful though" Aaron told me as he started running out to get to a hospital with Plete.

When they were out of the room I began to walk towards him.

"Who are you and how do you know for sure that I won't hurt you?" He asked.

"I was the time princess. I gave up the power to see the future to be able to save you Shadow. That is your name right?" I asked him.

He nodded. "You did that to save me? Why? You don't even know me" He told me.

"Everyone could use a friend every once in a while don't you think?" I asked him.

He seemed quiet then as if thinking of how to respond. "You have my word that I won't lay a hand on you" Shadow told me.

"You haven't seen much of the outside world have you? I haven't either. Maybe we could see the world together. We could have all these adventures" I smiled at him.

He turned away from me then. "I'm a creature of pure evil. There's no good inside of me. I was created to do only evil things" he told me.

"No. I know that's not true. If it were you would have already hurt me. Your conflicted though. You've done nothing but evil all your life and your instincts are kicking in but you don't want to hurt me. I won't leave you alone. I'll be your friend. No one deserves to be so lonely don't you think?" I asked him.

A shadow came across his face now and after a few minutes he seemed to no longer have the strength to stand. I quickly came to his side.

"Thank you" he cried as I comforted him.

I just smiled at him in response.

After a while he fell asleep so I decided to take him to the new Dragonfire home. It looked as much as it could like their old home and in a way it felt like the old home.

"Glad to see you home after such a long time" Loki voiced to Plete with a slight smile.

"Same goes for you, Loki" Plete replied looking at Star worried.

"I'm sure she'll be okay" I told him.

"So what do we do now" Pixie asked us.

"I say we try our best to move ahead with our lives. We've had time to get over the many tragedies hat have come to this house but I saw we rise above all the darkness of the tragedies and try our best to live life to the fullest. It's what our parents, no our family would have wanted" Lex voiced.

"Very well said Lex" Loki smiled.

Everyone's mouth then dropped in pure shock as Loki was smiling a true smile from ear to ear. It was extremely rare to see him smile like that now days.

"Well honestly I guess it's really the only thing we can do" Jessie agreed.

"Let's just do our best to make our parents proud" Jess smiled.

We all put our hands together and put them up in the air in agreement.

The first thing that was done was by Pixie. She wanted to prove that she was strong enough to get into the ancients along with the rest of us. This was so we could follow in Astro and Wonderman's footsteps. We were the number one team of the ancients and so we joined the ancients. We went on a lot of dangerous missions then. Though, sometimes we decided to take an easy job so that we knew we'd be safe. Soon after we started going on these missions everyone started calling us by our real names and we were no longer known as Astro and Wonderman's kids. We were all happy that people began to know us by our real names. Some years flew by and eventually more was added to the family. During those years Plete had proposed to Star but she didn't accept the proposal. Her reasoning was because she said it wasn't fair to Loki. However, we ended up getting those two married anyways. So our family became one with the Dragonchild's. Eventually Aaron warmed up to Plete a bit and he stopped being so protective over Star with him around. After all if Plete was with Star he knew that she'd be safe. This isn't the end to this story. It's just the beginning of another story.

Though little did we know in five years the world would finally right itself to the way it was always meant to be.
