(One year later)

(Plete's point of view)

A year had passed since that night. Loki had managed to at least pull off half a smile now but it wasn't too often these days.

Pixie had at least halfway seemed human now. It was even more rare to see her smile compared to Loki and that's saying a lot.

The kids had grown up a little bit since that day and Angel and Hope were the best of friends.

Jessie had come around home when she wasn't busy running the kingdom. She helped as best as she could. She had a baby named Miracle. Miracle, Hope and Angel all seemed to get along really well as well. Jess didn't seem interested in having kids as she was just happy to be with us. However, Jess had found the one she was supposed to be with according to her and they had been getting along really great.

So I was the only one out of all of us that hadn't found anyone really. It didn't really bother me too much because I was quiet most of the time. People usually don't talk much to the quiet people.

Today I found myself at the Dragonchild missionary. I was a member since we all joined this missionary after Astro and Wonderman had passed. None of us really had the strength to take over. Little did I know fate was working it's magic here.

Me and someone else had reached for a particular job but it was when our hands touched that we looked at each other then.

It took me a second but I recognized her. "Star?" I asked.

Star nodded then. "You've grown a lot since the last time I've seen you"

I took her in now. She had beautiful long pink hair and she wore a black shirt along with short black shorts. Her shoes were black as well and she definitely looked hot in black. Her boobs were also really big.

"You've grown a lot as well" I smiled at her.

"Who is this guy Star?" Aaron, her brother asked protectively.

"I can take care of myself you know! And this is Plete. Astro and Wonderman's kid remember?" Star voiced to Aaron.

"Oh yeah. I remember now. Hey. Long time no see eh?" Aaron smiled at me.

"Yeah. I guess" I smiled back.

"Well since we both seemed interested in this job why don't all three of us go together" Star smiled.

"Sure I'd love to" I smiled back at her.

"Hold up! There is no way I'm letting my daughter go with any boy other than Aaron on a mission" Andrew voiced.

"Dad....haven't I already told you I can take care of myself" Star voiced annoyance clear on her face.

"Still that's exactly the kind of attitude Surina had before she died" Andrew stated.

Suddenly fire surrounded Star. "I'm telling you I can take care of myself!" Star voiced as her and Aaron started having a battle. Star totally stated the fight and she won eventually.

"Fine just let me talk to Plete for a second" Andrew voiced.

"Fine" Star replied.

By this time I was majorly sweat dropping. She was hot but also a bit scary at times. I loved how confident she was and how she was able to take care of herself though.

Andrew just gave me the talk that all fathers would do.

Once that was over with me, Plete and Aaron all went on the job we choose.

It was a little ways from here so we had to ride a train for a little bit, take a taxi and then walk. When we finally arrived at the quest givers house and knocked they let us in.

"So we heard about this quest and figured we'd help out. Your worried about some sort of key?" I asked.

"Indeed. This key belongs inside of a certain book. The book of secrets is what it is titled. You see ever since this key has been released from this book horrible tragedies have been coming to this town. People are getting killed and losing jobs. That's why it's very important that you return this key to its rightful place" an old woman told me.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. Only the key can tell you. It's in different spots every 30 minutes" the old woman explained.

"We'll try our best ma'am" I nodded determined as I took the key.

The place shown to me was a bit too far for us to get to on time. Even if I tried to teleport us part of the way we still wouldn't get there in time.

"We'll do this as soon as we can" I voiced to her.

So we walked out and when we did Plete looked excited to go but I said "Hold on Plete. I can teleport great distances but I can't teleport us where we would need to be in order to get the book right now. For now let's just get some camping things to came out in" Star smiled. ee

"Why can't we just book a hotel? It's more comfortable" Aaron complained.

"I like spending time in nature. Besides, what's the harm in a camping experience" Star smiled.

"What's the harm in a normal, comfortable human experience, huh?" Aaron asked.

"Just stop complaining and enjoy the outside world some" Star pleaded.

"Fine" Aaron complained.

So here we were on a beach with a campfire and tents about an hour later.

Star's had a bunch of fire designs on it while mine and Aaron's had random designs on ours.

"Well I'm gonna try and get some sleep. After all that sleep and work I'm exhausted.

Plete and I laughed.

A few minutes passed and I was looking at the beauty of the  water.

Plete laughed a soft laugh then and I remembered he was here.

"So what do you think? Beautiful huh?" I asked Plete.

"I've seen even more beautiful things" Plete answered.

"Like what?" I challenged.

"You" Plete blurted out without thinking. Once he realized he said this he flushed but he seemed to be okay with it.

"So I'm a thing then?" I asked Plete.

"No. That's not what I meant..." Plete stated.

"I know. I'm just teasing" I smiled at him.

"Yeah" Plete smiled.

"Want some marshmallows?" I asked him suddenly.

"Sure" I replied.

So she got out of her camping bag some marshmallows.

"So how come you didn't ask earlier?" I asked.

"Well Aaron is a food thief and it's quite annoying at times" I joked.

"I heard that you know" Aaron replied. We laughed it off though and just enjoyed the night together. Little did we know this mission would last way longer then we expected it to.
