Now we are moving into more hearty meals. Yakisoba is a classic stir fry noodle made with pork and vegetables. You can see anime characters eating this at a local restaurant as they relax with their friends. It is filling and contains the most important thing of all...

Ingredients:

½ onion (sliced) 

1 carrot (Julienne) 

3 shiitake mushrooms (sliced)

2 green onions/scallions (cut 2 inches long)

4 cabbage leaves (chopped)

¾ lb sliced pork belly (cut 1 inch pieces)

2 Tbsp vegetable oil 

Freshly ground black pepper

1 package yakisoba noodles

2 tsp sugar

2 tsp soy sauce

4 tsp oyster sauce

4 tsp ketchup

4 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

1. Gather ingredients together

2.  Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to create yakisoba sauce

3. Heat oil in medium-high heat in a skillet. Cook the meat until it is no longer pink

4. Add in the onions and carrots and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then add the cabbage and cook until tender

5. Add the green onion and shiitake mushroom and cook for 1 minute. Then season with black pepper

6. Cook the yakisoba noodles and transfer it into a sieve. Add the noodles to the skillet with the heat at medium. 

7. Pour in the yakisoba sauce and mix well. Transfer it to plates.

8. Serve
