(John's point of view)
I walked back home to see the other boys my pencil resting against my ear and my notebook in hand. I looked over what Jude wrote for me. And I got this feeling.
Like I had seen this note before. Or rather the writing before. I couldn't put my finger on it really. It was gonna bug me the whole day. Regardless I enjoyed Jude's note. She was one of my close friends after all. I did know her for only a couple of days but I got along with her just fine.
I walk into my home and see the boys on the couch chatting about.
"So ya kissed her yet or what?" George asks.
"Sod off, ya know I don't like her that way" I day sitting on the couch.
Sure when I first saw her she caught my attention. I thought she was beautiful. But really after I got to know her I knew we would just become friends. I didn't mind really. It was nice being friends with a bird who didn't pass out every five seconds.
"How about you, you gave her one of ya rings" I teased looking at Ringo. He just crossed his arms.
"She's good looking but she's just a friend. The ring didn't fit me and none of ya were gonna use it" Ringo says. We smile at him.
"How about you macca?" George says looking at Paul.
Paul just blushed and looked away.
"Aw the boy is turning red" I tease.
"Well I don't know, she's nice but you guys know I'm still not over y/n yet" Paul says sadly. Ever since Paul moved to that one school for the last week's of school it all went bad. I never seen him this messed up for a girl. It was pretty concerning to say the least. Paul would always be distracted when singing. But I never seen him crush on another girl, Jude might be the answer to Paul's broken heart.
"Paul I know that things could of been done differently in the past but we can't dwell in it" Ringo says.
"Yeah Jude is a nice girl she seems to like you too." George says.
"About that-" I cut in. I didn't want to hurt Paul's chances but if I didn't it might get out of hand.
They all turn there heads at me.
"Well Jude told me we have to cool it with getting Paul to ask her. She hardly knows the boy. Seems her last fling wasn't the best." I say Paul looked a bit sadden. I sat next to him and Pat his back.
"Ey macca, talk to her. Get closer. That last girl is holding ya back." I say.
Paul takes out something from his pocket. That old sketch book. He always carried it around as a momento from his last relationship. He must of really loved that girl to dwell on it this much. Paul had other girls he would talk to but they never made him this sad.
He opens to one of the pages.
This feels strange. I feel like I had seen this somewhere the writing and the flower doodles.
Paul went through more pages and the feeling got more and more intense. The answer was in the tip of my tongue but I didn't know what it was. It was like getting that feeling when you're about to sneeze but don't. Then it all clicked. Jude.
I took my sketch book and looked at Jude's writing compared to the writing on Paul's book. A match. Down to some of the flower designs in Paul's book to the ones Jude drew.
I didn't let Paul look of course. This was a dumb theory. But it clicked so well in my head.
"Paul tell me more about this girl. You never really talked about her in details. Just that you missed and loved her. Tell us everything. " I say putting my book away.
Paul told me everything. Not missing a single detail. He described y/n's mum and home. How they had this old guitar that belonged to her dad. And a locket.
After all that it had became late everyone left but Ringo he was staying for the night.
"Ey John?" Ringo said.
"Hm?" I said still thinking about how possible my theory was.
"You're planning something." He says.
I nod.
"This might sound crazy. But I think Jude is Paul's missing girl. Y/n." I say.
Ringo just gave me this look as if he couldn't believe I would day such a thing.
"Look you saw the handwriting it Paul's jornal. Jude wrote this for me today they looked practically similar" I said handing him the notebook. He nodded but froze when he saw the small flower designs.
"These flowers are the exact ones from the sketchbook" Ringo says.
"Think about it, Jude and y/n both have English accents. They seem to both have moved away from the states. This would explain why she doesn't like us messing with her and Paul. They both draw and all. Okay. What if we go to her home tomorrow and see her mum. Paul told us about her today. Or better we find the locket." I say.
"That's crazy. We don't know her that well what if we scare her off. When we have proof what will we do with it? Tell Paul?" Ringo says.
"Well of course! Paul loves her you know that. Makes sense the only girl he has a crush on happens to be that same girl." I say.
"But why would y/n do all this? Change her name and all? If that's the case why wouldn't Paul recognize her?" Ringo says.
"Paul always told me she wore glasses and never wore makeup. Paul did tell me Jude reminded him of her but he thought it was just in his head." I say.
"Well, you think Jude has photos of her and Paul back then? Or anything that would be evidence?" Ringo says.
"I don't know, we might have to confront Jude. We don't know what she must of felt during the whole deal. Or why she left." I say.
"Yeah, let's do it for Paul" Ringo says.
