Copied from my Hermitcraft book, slightly edited to remove Hermitcraft references because we don't have a Recap XD posting it here for the sake of everyone's sanity in not having to check in that book for this stuff

AKA me fact-checking my ideas to make sure it fits with what I wrote XD

-everyone has phones. They're basically Shiekah Slates from BotW, PDA from Subnautica, or just an OP iPhone. They act as an inventory for those that don't have a bag on their skin (eg. skins that have a backpack) but doesn't hold everything, like if you want wear armor then you actually put on the armor, not just stick it in a slot. It will hold extra armor items that you're not wearing though. Also has server chat (also likely Discord), and access to their version of the Internet. Probably screenshots as well but not magic with time-stopping powers or magnesis like a Shiekah Slate.

-everyone also has some sort of gadget (I was thinking a bracelet???) that allows access to and from servers. It's basically whitelist permissions/multiplayer menu in the actual game, but you can also join single player worlds from it as well. Linked to a player's username.

-all YouTubers + probably anyone who wants to use it can record their POV (recording glasses, augmented eyes, masks/visors, or even just blogging from a phone) and upload it to their Internet for anyone to see. So all the big names are still big names and known worldwide, and while the style of content might be changed some because its more like a real vlog rather than a video, the content itself I imagine would stay the same. Not recording 24/7 XD

-there is a "community hub" Ptype place  (referred to as the HUB apparently according to me writing) where players can join where you can meet players, surf their web, or join some of the massive servers like Hypixel or Mineplex. Sort of like a limbo but not one to be concerned about? I imagine that after a certain point people have to go through the hub to join these massive servers because of the way they have to manage traffic and such. Maybe unless people buy a rank on the server, then they can warp there with the gadget I talked about before
-players can get their equipment from the HUB (phone, recording devices, world list devices, the only items that travel with you between worlds) and it's the only place where you can get these items and where non-players can get usernames

-not everyone are part of servers- in fact, most people operate out of single player worlds. I imagine watching the YouTubers is a common hobby for normal people because I don't think there would be things like drawing or art in Minecraft...? Unless it's pixel art I guess

-there is a VERY small chance when creating a single player world to come across an inhabited world. These worlds are basically anything roleplay without a sense of greater knowledge of an outside world, and the confines of logic remains within the one world. Likely include mods, part of the reason this world is cut off from the vanilla. These worlds are full of non-players, where death is permanent and sometimes strange and unique concepts/abilities come out of the people living here due to added concepts from mods. However, most players that come across these worlds tend to either leave right away or pretend to be an inhabitant the world when visiting so they don't mess up that world's reality. Rarely a player might bring a special individual with them outside and help them become a player themself, but never a major amount of people because that would cause too much of a crisis for the HUB and the world itself.

-people are not born with usernames. When most normal people are born they are given a username by parents/guardians (becoming a "player") to grow up learning how to interact with different worlds. Other people (specifically hybrids or other non-humans) are created by players, whether on purpose or on accident (sometimes dubbed "black scientists" if it was on purpose) and while they aren't human, they have the sentience and ability to be players, and someone who is already a player can easily get them a username to allow them to become one as well. Being human or being something else really has no effect on how people treat you, there is such an assortment of players it's no big deal. Other player origin might be from an isolated world, as mentioned before. People who are not players but can become one are called non-players, as they are not "mobs" or "animals" but still are not players. Commonly confused with NPCs, but it's not the same and some players might take offense to being called an NPC

-players have slightly special abilities than a non-player (not exactly an NPC, as those are animals, monsters, etc. without the right type of mind capabilities) in that players have respawn while non-players do not, and players can also be whitelisted (and banned/kicked) from servers while non-players cannot enter whitelisted servers... or really join any other world/server than the one they are in. And if/when they die in that world, they are dead. If a hybrid becomes a player, they can possibly lose the abilities of their non-human-like half (example creeper hybrids can no longer explode, basically committing suicide, and zombie/skeleton hybrids no longer burn in the sun) but may keep other abilities, say a blaze hybrid might still be able to throw fireballs. Basically things that can kill the individual if they didn't have respawn.

-there is such thing as perma-death for players, but normally under bizarre circumstances that prevents respawn from working. Things like world corruption or glitches that can't be recreated, and the player will not respawn even in the HUB. Even in a hardcore world, when a player dies there they respawn in the HUB and the world is cleared/removed/reused/deleted.

These are all the concepts I've come up with for my writings. They're sort of more general Minecraft concepts, but because Hermitcraft applies to so many different things where people get content, post content, etc. I decided to do it like that. I probably won't directly use most of these, but I felt like I should explain them in case I ever do?

Update 7/4/19: added info about isolated worlds and players/non-players/etc.
