Highschool of Demons & Priests; Book 2: Travel to a different world

Prologues:

Hello everyone welcome to the second book of this series. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as the first one. I can't promise that it will be just as long or good, but I will try my best. I will leave you alone now.

Almost a whole year has passed after Mark and his friends have defeated Mania and Madness. Parmera had slowly recovered over this timespan from the outbreak of the demons and the people had just began to start living a normal life again. Some of the demons were still somewhere scattered in the country, however, the Fighters managed to catch them again one after the other. It was a lot of work and many were glad that the worst was now over. Sadly not everything should remain as peaceful as it was at this moment. At midnight on the day when the evil intentions of the demon-goddess were stopped, returned a shady demon to the foot of Demon Mountain. Some of the demons that hid on this mountain, started to defend their territory from the intruder. The white and black haired demoness was not even a little bit impressed by these creatures attempts to hurt her und just threw them out of her way with only a small movement of her hand.

"You are all so weak and way under my level, so I would suggest for your own well-being to stay out of my way. Otherwise I will extinguish you all if you won't stop getting on my nerves.", growled she and stepped into the interior of the mountain. She then walked for a long time through the desolated tunnel system until she got to the deepest part of the mountain. However, she didn't went to the inner chamber of the mountain, instead she went the other direction and reached an icy lake, which was located in that area. The lake was so cold that everything froze immediately when touching the water. The demoness exhaled deeply and left an icy breath in front of her mouth. With a small, devious smile it came from her: "Here you've been hiding all this time. Haha and they all thought that you were actually dead. Don't worry, I'll get you out of your freezing cage." The demoness then created a stone path towards the middle of the lake and walked with confident steps to the end of her path, where a gigantic block of ice was. She moved one of her hands over the surface of the ice and a figure was now visible.

Grinning the demoness gathered her magic in her hand and destroyed the giant ice crystal. The many shards of ice fell back into the water, while the frozen person landed on the stone path in front of the feet of the demoness. "On your feet. You've slept long enough. It is time that we get what belongs to us.", rolled it over her lips and the demon opened his black and violet eyes shortly after she spoke. After the demon was standing up, he replied slightly annoyed: "You could have gotten me out of here a little bit earlier, you know. This little shit will regret it to have thrown me into this abyss to freeze to death in here." "Calm down big guy. We both are very angry about what had happened. However, we now have the element of surprise on our side. They don't know you're still alive, that's what we will use to our advantage. Trust me, I've been planning on something this whole last year and no one will be able to ruin it.", said the demoness to her now unfrozen partner. After she had told him her plan in every detail, the demon grinned afterwards and said: "Oh this plan sounds very satisfying to my black soul. When do you think we should strike?" "Patience is a virtue my dear friend. The right moment will come and when it is here, we will strike. For now, however, we need to prepare everything to even be ready.", there was amusement in her voice and shortly after she started to laugh manically.

Mark POV

Suddenly I woke up in distress in the middle of the night and sat up straight in my bed. A shiver ran down my back and I swallowed hard. //"Did you feel that too?"//, came it a few seconds later from my Demon Side. //"Yes and it worries me a lot. ... What should we do now? Madness is finally active again and has certainly something terrible planned."//, I asked while looking out the window at the beautiful stars in the sky. Jack was still deeply asleep and was calmly laying on the bed next to me, because he hasn't noticed my sudden movement. //"For now we shouldn't do much. It is too risky to hunt her down without knowing what she has planned. However, we should be careful and listen to all the information we can get. As soon as we know what she is planning on doing, we should put an end to her plan."//, answered me my second half. With a nod I agreed and laid back down again. It took me some time but after a few minutes I was deeply asleep again.
