Chapter Five

{Asami's POV}

I woke up fairly early in the morning, it was around 5:30 a.m. I was staying at the survey corps headquarters. Today we're changing HQ's, It's supposed to be a castle like building just smaller than your advrage castle, at least that's what the other's said. We're moving there because of Eren. It's iscolated so it's the perfect place. He was put in the basement, I feel bad for him but I can't blame them for doing that...

I had on the black sweat pants and white t-shirt Levi had given me three years ago. I haven't really grown much, maybe an inch and a half, but not much. I began to streatch and my mouth was dry so I decided to make my way down to the dining hall to get something to drink. The kitchen was connected to it so.

It was still kinda dark and I'm still trying to get firmiliar with my way around here. I made a lot of lefts and rights, I crashed into mulitple different things along the way, but still didn't find the dining hall. "god damn it where the hell is it?" I grumbled to myself till I heard someone clear their throat. "What the hell are you doing brat?" a low raspy voice spoke from behind me.

I turned around to find Levi holding a candle with his eyes droopy and his hair messy. "I'm thirsty now go back to bed, you look like shit" I teased him and he rolled his eyes. He then grabbed my wrist and started pulling me along with him.

It was about a minute or two till we reached the dining hall. "Thank you sir" it's still awkward calling him that. "whatever just get your fucking water so we can go back to bed" he groaned. I sighed and walked into the kitchen grabbing a cup and filling it up with water.

I came back out to find Levi yawning. "Well someones tired" I pointed out, it must be tiring being captain and all. "Why are you up so early, you woke me up" he glared. "I just woke up. Sorry I didn't mean to wake you" my voice became soft and I took a sip of my water.

"Come on let's go" he said as he walked out the door. I quietly followed beside him just looking down at my water. "What's wrong brat?" he asked still with his heartless voice. "It's nothing really. I'm just getting comfortable here, I'm adjusting you know." I shrugged, that wasn't it. I wanted to hug levi, tell him how much I missed him but that would be out of place.

"I see you still have those" he said gesturing to my pajamas. My cheeks began to heat up. "I-uh... Yeah" I stammered on words to say. "Would you join me in my office?" He asked but more demanded. "Yes, but why sir?" I asked a bit confused. "Because you woke me up and now I can't go back to sleep, I've always been that way. I have nothing better to do from from now to the time we start packing up everything to leave so just keep me company" he said and I nodded.

I followed behind him to his office. I stood in front of the door awkwardly as he sat down on a blue couch. "You don't have to stand there" he said in an annoyed tone. "Sorry" I whispered as I took a seat next to him.

"..." We just sat there in silence till he spoke up. "So are you happy?" he asked his voice a bit more relaxed. "What do you mean?" I asked. "About achieving your goal. You became a scout, even though you were right under Mikasa, you could've joined the military police. But you still decided to come here. So are you happy with your choice?" I nodded. "Yeah... I just wasn't expecting to see you that's all, let alone you being my superior." I chuckled at the thought.

"Hey levi?" I asked and he replied with and 'hmm?'. "Why didn't you write to me? Sorry I'm just wondering..." I bit the inside of my cheek waiting for his response. "I did... I guess you didn't get them, I wondered why you didn't respond. I guess you didn't receive them" he sighed. "oh" I replied.

"I can't believe you didn't die" he said and I slapped his shoulder playfully. "Not funny!" I said offended and he just stared at me. "What is it?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows. "Your hair is a mess" he stated. "So is yours, you're point?" I pointed out. "It's distracting brush it" he demanded. "I'll put it up" I said and began to put my hair into a ponytail.
