The two arguing college graduates stop arguing to grimace and look at their annoyed friend.
"Sorry, Mer. Just ignore us and continue eating. We know you're both hungry," the ever short girl apologizes, smiling at the older woman and motioning to her belly.
"Yeah, we'll get going now," Lily adds with a chuckle. "See you in a couple weeks, Mer! Take care of yourself and the amorcito o amorcita! I'll call you when I get to my hotel," she continues, giving Mer a hug and her belly a small pat.
"Now off to the airport!"
As the taller woman walked out of the room, her friend followed with a reminiscing smile. With a second though, she took off her sweater, quickly returning to the room to place it down.
Mer looked surprised as the sweater was thrown on a chair, quickly asking, "Aren't you cold?"
January looked at the pregnant woman and slightly smiled while glancing outside the window at clearing skies.
"It's getting warmer—the cherry blossom are blooming."
