Chapter 7 Nali Confusion?

        The next day, the sunshine's in through the room Natsu shares with Lucy.  As the sun's rays cast its shadows across the walls and the rest of the room, Natsu wakes up first.  He is aware that Lucy he is beside him.  He wishes he could remain with her like this for awhile longer.  He is just not sure that is a good idea.  It is not like he loves her.  He gets up, shakes his head and thinks back to the day prior.  He sighs.  He recalls the kiss that he and Lucy gave each other.  He decides that is not to happen again!  It must not.

          Natsu gets up, prepares for the day and takes a look at Lucy.  He sees she is still fast asleep. He is not sure rather he should wake her or not.  How is he to know what the right thing to do is anyway?   He paces the floor.  He does this for twenty minutes.  He sits down in a chair next to the bed.  He reaches out and gently touches Lucy's  shoulder.  "Come on Luce, it  is time to get up!  We need to talk, so rise and shine!"  Natsu says.

      Lucy wakes up. She sees Natsu  as he looks at her. She thinks, it must be my fault he gives me this look. I must have upset him.  Perhaps, the kiss was too much.  She decides I must not kiss him anymore.  She  sighs.  She nods her head.  "N-Natsu, I will get ready."  She says. Lucy gets up, goes into the bathroom, gets ready and comes out.

       "What did we need to talk about Natsu?"  Lucy ask.

       "Oh, it is about yesterday.  You see we can not kiss like that ever again.  It is not a good idea."  Natsu says.

         "Okay, I t-totally a-agree."  Lucy says.  She licks her lips.  

             Natsu thinks, oh, boy!  She makes this harder when she does that because it makes me want to take what I just told her away.  It makes me want to kiss her over and over.  It makes want to never stop.  It makes me want to be with her.  He shakes his head.  He  responds, "Good so we agree."

          Lucy's face falls.  She frowns.  She thinks, great!  He was not suppose to agree so fast!  I mean, does this mean it meant nothing to him?   Does this mean the kiss was just a cruel way to toy with my feelings?   Does this mean, he does not love me?  Does it mean he only gave me a kiss to say good bye to our friendship?  Does it mean he wants nothing more from me?

         Meanwhile, Lisanna gets up and prepares for the day next.  Happy does so too.  Lisanna and Happy go to the lobby area and head into the breakfast area .  Lucy and Natsu are not far behind them.  The four enjoy the meal in silence.  Only Lisanna gives Lucy an glance that shows her annoyance at her presence. She does not say anything else rude about her though.  She has a plan B to put into action now.  She figures she will wait until Lucy is out of sight to work on it though.  Everything depends on this!  Everything is a stake here for the goal!  The goal to make Natsu hers! 

          Lucy stands up.  She smiles and says,  "Well, I uh have to go use the restroom.  See you later, Natsu!"   

         "Okay, Luce !  See ya!"  Natsu says.

        "Yeah, Miss Lucy see ya when you get back!"  Happy remarks.

         "Lucy the restroom is that way!"  Lisanna points in the direction where she  sees the signs for the restrooms.

          "Thanks, Lisanna."  Lucy says. She thinks it strange how nice Lisanna is to her today. She enters the restroom that says,  "Women."  Once inside she takes her time.

          While Lucy is the bathroom, Lisanna puts her plan into action. She stands up, and walks over to Natsu.  She sits beside him. She winks at him. She says,  "Natsu, tell me what is you adore about me? "  She has a tape recorder hidden in the pocket to her skirt.  

           "Well, you are my friend, we have lots in common, we are best buddies, and well you are an alright girl!"  Natsu says.

          Lisanna thinks, ugh!  This is not the way it is suppose to go.  This is a complete disaster!  I mean why can he not come up with better things to say than this?  Is that really all he has in mind when it comes to me?   She leans in closer to him and whispers, "Well, what about us then?  Hmm?"

           "Us?  What do you mean, Lis?  Us as in?"  Natsu says with a look of confusion.  He appears to be uneasy with this side of her.  He is not sure what to make of the situation.  He looks into her eyes and thinks, what would it be like to kiss her?  Wait, what?  I could not.  I must not.  Lucy will not like it. 

           "You know, as in romantically?  Natsu, do you love me?"  Lisanna says.

         "L-Love, well that is kinda hard to say. I mean what is love anyway?"  Natsu says.

           Lisanna leans in more. As she does her shirt which I might add is bit more showy than most of her clothes makes her come across as a bit desperate to say the least.  In fact, it makes Natsu uncomfortable. She does not seem to care though.  She just keeps on with it. She grabs his face in her hands.  She squeezes his cheeks with them. She says, "Natsu, I am your girl!  No one else has a chance with you.  I mean no one."  She makes her move.  She kisses him. 

          Natsu  feels Lisanna press her lips over his own.  He does not want this, right?  He should not want this.  How could he? He knows Lucy is a great kisser.  This kiss is awful.  It seems to come to strong and makes him feel awkward as ever. He tries to push her away.  

         Lisanna sits in his lap.  He finds her arms wrap around his neck. He struggles to get free and...

        Right at that moment, Lucy shows up!  She gasps when she sees them together!  She feels her eyes leak!  She does not brush the drops away. She lets them fall.  She does not say a word.  She can not.  She thinks, he must love her!  Why else does he reject my kiss?  He regrets the kiss we share so he goes after another girl!  I should have seen it.  I should know better than let myself  feel that I have a chance with him.   It is hopeless.  I shall not stand in his way.

          Lucy walks away.  She feels like her appetite is suddenly gone. She runs back to the hotel. She enters the room. She packs her things. She sighs,and sobs.  She continues to cry. She pulls out a pen and paper. She decides to leave a note. When she finishes, she grabs her bags and goes back to the ship. She calls for a private plane. She thinks, it is for the best, I go!

         Natsu finally gets out of Lisanna's  grasp. He is not too happy.  He is alright furious with her!  Unlike Lucy, she is a horrible kisser.  He might say her kiss is not one he ever wishes to return.  Let alone receive ever again!  He is sad because he feels like something must have upset Lucy. He sighs, shakes his head and thinks, what does this mean?  Could it be Lisanna is right?  Do I really love Lucy?  He sits down somewhere alone and puts his hands over his face.
