Chapter 8 Lucy?

           Lucy  is has her stuff ready to go. She waits for her private plane to come and pick her up. She only hopes in time that Natsu and Lisaana can truly be happy together!  She rather him be able to be with the one he wants even if its not herself.  She sighs and thinks, So it came to this now, huh? 

          Happy  goes after Lucy.  He can tell she is upset about what took place. He knows it just a huge misunderstanding on her part.  However, who is he to tell her?  Why if he does will she even listen to him. He enters her room and sees the hotel room is empty. He thinks, this is not a good sigh.  He flies over the cabin on the ship and sees her.  He can tell she is by the window.  He can see she appears to be deep in thought and comes across as if she is not sure what else to do now.  He can not say he blames her. 

          Natsu just stays where he is in a private area with his hands over his face. He can not seem to move. He needs time to think.  Time to process exactly what just took place!  ugh, since when did things get to be full of complications when it comes to Lucy and Lisanna?  Since when was he so unsure about anything in his life?  why was Lisanna so helpful to Lucy and so quick to kiss him?  He  does no what to do make of it all.  He just knows the trip is over soon!   Good thing too as things are nothing, but one huge disappointment after another.

        Lisanna smirks. She thinks at long last I have the victory!  She believes she has won !  She is so caught up in herself that she does not notice Natsu is no longer at the table.  She does not pay attention to the fact he did return her kiss. She does not care she hurt Lucy or that Happy went after her!  She just knows one thing or rather think she does anyway.

     Meanwhile, Lucy sees the plane land on the helicopter pad on the very top landing dock area to the ship. She grabs her things and is about to board it when she hears someone call out behind her!    

     "Wait, Lucy!  Stop!  Where do you think you are off too? "  She turns to see Happy with a look of worry on his face. She sees his tears and hears the concern in his voice.

  "Happy, it is for the best I go!  It will be better for everyone if I do!  You see, I can not compete with her!  I can never have what she has with him. "  Lucy says.

     "Miss Lucy, how do you know you are right?  What if you do not know the whole story?  How do you know this is not just a mistake?"   Happy ask her.

    "Happy, tell Natsu I am sorry!  I did leave him a note in the hotel room.  Just in case he forgets to read it there is another one in the cabin.  Please, do not try to stop me! I can not stay. "  Lucy says.  Again she prepares to step foot into the private air vehicle.

      Natsu hears something overhead.  He looks up to see a plane aboard the cruise ship. He gasps when he recognizes it.  Why it is one of Lucy's aircrafts!  That can only mean one thing!  No, she would not would she? He runs to the ship out of breath. He sees her about to leave without a good bye.  He can tell her luggage is inside it yet.  

      "Lucy?  At least let me explain before you take off like this!  Please, Luce!  "  Natsu pleads with her.

      "Fine, but it better be good."  Lucy says.  She waves at the driver to take off without her.  The man looks at her with annoyance, but does as he is told.

     "Lucy, you see the thing is I did not know Lisanna was into me.  It  just caught me by surprise!  Also, just so you know I did not kiss her.  She is the one who gave me a kiss!  I know it looks bad, but I did try to push her away.  I am  not sure what my feelings are for either of you.  I do know this much though, I have no intentions of  letting Lisanna catch me off guard like this again.  You can be sure of it."  Natsu says.

     "Natsu, it does not matter. You do not own me anything!  I am not your girlfriend!  You can date or kiss anyone you like!  You can do whatever you please.  You see you really do not owe me a thing!"  Lucy says sadly.

    "Luce, please do not be angry with me!  Please!"  Natsu says.

    "Natsu, I will stay, but I can not promise that I will remain for the entirety of the trip.  I will be here for at least tonight and through out the weekend though. That much you can know."  Lucy says.

   "Lucy, thanks!  I appreciate it!  I really do ever so much!"  Natsu says.

    "It is late, so I better call it a night."  Lucy says.  She heads back to the hotel, unpacks her things and prepares for bed.  She climbs under the covers. She is soon fast to sleep.

     Natsu watches her sleep. He thinks she looks so peaceful, yeah his Lucy is one fine young lady!  He blushes, prepares for bed, and climbs in next to her.  He wraps his arms around her, whispers, "Good night, Luce!"   Soon enough he too falls asleep! 

      Happy sees them together and smiles.  He can tell Natsu is happy when he is with her!  He does not know why Natsu can not see this.  He thinks, come on man, just admit it!  Admit you love Miss Lucy and ask her out already!  He goes to bed with these thoughts and more on his mind.
