~Scarlette~
"Hazel! You're not serious are you?" I looked at her like she was crazy. Everyone else did the same.
"Well, yeah I'm serious!" Hazel said as she tried to get up. she groaned from the pain of the wound. "I'm always serious about the purge Scar. I'll be fine. I'll take some pain-killers too if i cant handle it. I am not wasting this purge just because of a little injury. Plus, look! I'm fine!"
She got up and went to get her weapons and reload. I didn't want to fight because i new she would kill me the more i argued with her. I grabbed my guns and restocked on bullets. I decided on taking a few more guns than i originally planned. I turned to look at the others who were getting ready.
"We good?" I asked sliding a small pistol into my waistband.
"Yeah, just waiting on Calum. He said he was feeling better and wanted to come," Luke said nodding his head towards the back. I looked at Hazel to see if she approved, but she was too busy practicing. Calum came out right when a small shriek came from the practice room. We ran there without hesitation.
"What happened? Is everyone okay?" We all started saying once we got to the room. Hazel was on one side of the room holding back a laugh. Michael was opposite her standing as still as a statue.
"Michael, mate, are you okay?" Luke asked walking up to Michael carefully. Charlie and I walked behind Luke. As I got closer to Michael, I started laughing as well. He had a small cut on his right ear from one of Hazel's knives.
"Did she just use you as target practice?" I asked Michael while I was almost on the floor laughing.
"It's not funny! She is a murderer! She probably would have killed me if I didn't agree!" Michael screamed while pointing at Hazel. Hazel looked at him like he just ripped out her heart. She picked up her knife and threw it as hard as she could. None of us saw it coming. Another scream came from Michael.
"Keep talking sh*t about me and that knife will be just a little higher up!" Hazel yelled at Michael. We looked to where the knife was and gaped. The knife landed right at the base of his crotch.
"Hazel!" I screeched and ran after her. I stopped at the door and turned to the boys. "I'll be right back." I saw Hazel in the lounge with her favorite knife in her hands.
"Hazel?" I asked walking towards her wearily. She didn't even acknowledge me.
"Don't 'Hazel' me Scarlette! Having him say that about me! That I would kill him? Scar! You know I would never kill one of our own!" Hazel said. I sat down next to her and she broke down crying onto my lap. It was the first time I ever saw her cry. What Michael said really hurt her if she's crying over it.
"Haze? Why are you crying? Is it only because of Michael? Or something else?" I asked pushing her back up.
"No Scar... it's everything! I'm crying because of everything since the last purge!" She stood up. "It's okay now. I can go back out and get my anger out and everything," she said. I watched her walk to the shelves to get her weapons. I walked back into the practice room with the boys.
"She'll be fine. And just so you know, she would never kill one of her own. Once you're in you're in. If you want out you're more than free to go. We aren't holding you here against your will. You chose to stay here on your own! If us purging makes you uncomfortable to where you have to insult us, then you guys can just leave because we will not deal with that here. After all we did for you; we could have killed all of you but we didn't! We could have left you out there, and let some other group find you!" I shouted at them.
They all backed into the wall, frightened i would act on my anger. I turned on my heel, and exited the back room. I swear, this guy has known Haze for three hours and he's already made so much of an impact on her. Being able to make her cry, not even I have seen that. I'm worried he's going to hurt her even worse, or maybe she'll work up a courage to hurt him.
I was pacing around the shop, keeping a close eye on Hazel, who was being smothered by Alec. Some part of me thinks that he likes her. I was in midnight when i heard my name called from behind me. I spun around and saw Luke awkwardly standing there.
"Hey Luke, what's up?" I asked him as he walked towards me. Luke and I haven't really talked that much so it must be important.
"I just wanted to come see how you were doing. After your little rant you seemed pretty upset," he explained taking a step closer to me.
"Hazel has had a rough year, she doesn't like hurting people, but she does it to fill the hole. I just want to help her." I said looking at the ground. I found that Luke is easy to talk to. There is nothing i can't tell him. Is that weird since I've only known him for three hours? "I am as much a murderer as she is." I added regretfully.
"No you aren't! You don't choose to kill. You do it to save your life, or Hazel's. She kills to fill a bottomless hole. You are two different people." He said, trying to compare me to Haze.
"I guess you're right." I said continuing to pace the room. Hazel is the only person i know that i can trust. Now Luke is coming in trying to convince me that Hazel is completely wrong for me. That this whole friendship was built on a common enemy, and once that enemy is gone, everything is going to change.

When we headed back out, Hazel didn't talk to anyone. She lead the group without a word. Every now and then i would hear Michael talk and the dogs would growl at him. Fear grew in his eyes and he shut up.
obeyed my orders and stayed in the back. I made sure no one was following us, and that the boys are at line. Some part of me wanted to walk up to Michael and slap him across his stupid Australian face. No one is allowed to talked to Hazel like that, well except me. Even when i talk to he like that, she knows I'm joking.
We made it half a block, before Hazel stopped and walked inside a building unexpectedly. I ran to the front and over to her. I pushed all the guys to the side in order to get to her first. I saw her leaning against the wall holding her side. It happened so fast, i think she forgot to check the store.
"Haz, you good?" I asked keeping my alertness up. She nodded and I checked the store. I went down every aisle, and started to make my way towards the back room. No one seemed to be in there, but that made no sense! Why would there be an open shop with no one inside? Something seemed strange around here. "Hazel, we need to go now." I said grabbing her by her arm and pushing her toward the doors.
"Let go of me!" Hazel shouted ripping her arm free. She had a look of pure anger in her eyes. I never would have thought Hazel would snap at me. I didn't do anything! I shook the thought away, and went back to my post in the back of the group.
Whatever Luke said, it was starting to get to me.
