i didn't come the next day

but i came the day after that

when i came, she looked worried, holding her pink unicorn-glitter-star notebook tightly in hand

when she saw me, she smiled, her grip on her notebook loosening slightly

"hey," she greeted. "where were you yesterday?"

"i couldn't come," i answered vaguely, and she looked worried. "what's wrong?"

she only smiled

"i just wanted to give you something," she answers. "to repay all the chocolate you gave me."

she pulled two things out of her pocket and showed them to me

they are two chocolate bars

and that was when i remembered i forgot to bring something chocolate today

i facepalmed

the girl only chuckled

"don't worry," she says. "from now on, i'm getting you chocolate."

i smiled.

"thank you," i said.

she smiled and we dug in to our chocolate bars

i feel glad that she cares about me

but why do i feel uneasy?
