i hadn't gone there in a long, long time
the memory of her hurts
but it's been a year now
i want to see the old place where my crush and i used to hang out in
i walked to the bench and planned to sit down, but then i froze.
she was there
sitting on the bench, writing and drawing
but not on her pink notebook with unicorns and glitter and stars
it's in my possession
i wanted to run to her. say that i miss her. say that i love her. say that i don't ever want to let her go.
but she forgot me
when i tried to get close to her, a boy suddenly sat next to her, offering her a chocolate smoothie. the girl laughed and drank it, before kissing his cheek.
my heart stopped
shattered
again
i ran away.
it's been a year
of course she's forgotten you
i know this fact
but it's so hard to accept
and i cried
