As if it's the last time

It was a warm day when Jisung realised he was in love with Minho. It was a warm day in the sense that he was bundled in a heap of blankets on his friend's living room floor and a warm day in the sense that the sun had finally burst from behind the clouds. Obviously, Jisung had chosen artificial warmth and was now beginning to boil in the cocoon of cotton that formed his curious swaddling.

The realisation hit him in a shockingly abrupt manner, he didn't see it coming. Always saying like and occasionally brushing in a joking love, never truly realising that the love had become so much more sincere.

You see, what had happened was Jisung had leaned over to press a kiss to Minho's cheek and Felix had whined, "You're so disgustingly in love." It had taken the boy a few minutes to process Felix's high pitched tone until realising, yes, he was disgustingly in love.

It was a welcome thought.

Han Jisung has finally fallen in love again.

He let a smile spread across his face, before nestling back into his bundle of blankets. He was pressed against Minho's side, Jeongin at his feet, Felix a few inches away and Chan taking up residence in the armchair. (The eldest had claimed that he needed it to cope with the stress of living with a bunch of children.) The TV was humming in the background, but it wasn't at the forefront of anybody's mind. The boys were more focused on one another.

Jisung was startled from his thoughts as a malteaser hit him in the face. He scowled at Felix, obviously the perpetrator of such a childish attack and then ate the chocolate. There was no point in wasting a perfectly good sweet out of spite.

Their brief staring match was interrupted by Jeongin, "So, Felix, I've been reliably informed that you may have a crush. Would you perhaps care to enlighten us?" There was a teasing edge to his voice, emphasised by the cheeky smirk dominating his face.

"Why do I ever trust anyone?" Felix rolled onto his back dramatically, staring up at Chan from the floor, "Control your lover, Christopher, he's asking some very personal questions."

Chan simply nudged him with his sock clad foot, the stripes were a very obnoxious green and orange and would offend Jisung deeply if worn by anyone other than Chan. "Why don't you stop being so dramatic and tell us about him."

"Bold of you to assume I'm gay."

"Felix, honey, you're so gay that you almost put Minho to shame. I said almost, Min, don't you get snarky with me." Was Chan's retort, complimented by a smirk that mirrored Jeongin's exactly. They had spent far too much time together.

Felix glared at the elder one more time, his eye's almost closing from how deeply he furrowed his brow. His voice was muffled by the floorboards when he finally muttered, "His name's Andrew."

"Sorry?" Jeongin leaned closer and pulled Felix into a sitting position. Minho laughed at the boy's predicament and ran his fingers through Jisung's hair. The younger boy smiled to himself at the fond action but decided to join in on the relentless teasing anyway.

"Yeah, Lixie, could you speak up a little? I'm not sure we heard you correctly."

"I said, his name's Andrew." His teeth were gritted, "He goes to university with me. He was so nice to me during the first week and then we just kind of stayed friends."

"Nice in what way, Felix, come on, give us something to work with." Chan had slid down from the armchair to join the circle of boys on the floor.

"He bought me coffee and stuff, helped me find the lecture halls."'

"So he already knew his way around?" Minho interjected, "Interesting, I didn't realise he was older than you."

"Felix has a thing for older men!" Jeongin shrieked.

That was when Jisung realised he had found a home. In Minho's arms, with Felix chucking a pillow at Jeongin and Chan watching on with fondness in his eyes. He had found somewhere safe.

He had found love again.
