Yamini’s/ Mrs Rao’s mother: “ Maitri, I don’t know what exactly is going on here, but if my fears are right then please don’t even think of doing this. You have no idea how badly it can affect us all. Subbaraju is the best guy, you cannot betray his trust. Speak out your heart before its too late. Give them a fair chance atleast.“If inspite of all this you decide to run  I wont stop you or I won’t tell anyone also..........for if you are ready to see your parents in soup then I am NONE.”

But frankly I couldn’t dare to speak to either my parents or Subbu because I knew I was wrong but Iwas helpless infront my love................................. (pauses and sighs)

Finally I got married to Manthan with his mother’s blessings and we all three lived a very happy life. My mother in law was the most well known personality. She was very bossy at work but butter at heart with us. She treated me as if I were her own daughter. Our prosperity reached its zenith after our marriage as now our company was being looked after by three people. I had everything a girl would have asked for, loving husband, caring Mom-in-law. Just everything!!!!

I also heard from the sources that Subbu got married to you, (looking at subbu)Yamini, and you both were happy together. 

Our happiness was at peak till a year of our marriage, but...........................(she pauses and closes her eyes.)

Mrs Rao/Yamini( holding her hands)But???? What happened?

Mrs Vyas (as she opens her eyes tears roll down) “But may be I didn’t get enough good blessings from elders for a long lived marriage. Soon my life came to a standstill. Exactly on the same day as of yoursof our  wedding my husband met with a car accident.

He died a miserable death, Yammu(Mrs vyas bursts out loudly). Even though we were the richest people in the whole city we couldn’t buy any happiness for ourselves, he was in coma for more than a month

We did every bit  to save him but unfortunately, he kicked the bucket.

Mrs Rao(shocked) Oh Sorry!! I didn’t know that Mr Vyas is no more.”

Mrs Vyas(suddenly, Mrs Vyas closes Mrs Rao’s mouth with her hands and says) “ Please don’t say that. Mr Vyas is very much alive. It is Mathan Malhotra who is no more, my first husband.”

Mr and Mrs Rao(startled) What?? Come again? So you got re-married??

Mrs Vyas( hesitatingly) “ Last year.”

Mrs Rao(irritated and quizzed) “ What? So you got re-married just a year back. Oh I see!!! That explains it all. This is the reason why your son isn’t on talking terms with you. The age, when he is supposed to be married, he had attend his mom’s wedding(sarcastically) You keep hurting people. You won’t change will you?

Mr Rao (trying to calm down Mrs Rao) “ Wait wait Yamini!! Don’t jump to the conclusions so fast. Let us first listen what she has to say.

Mrs Vyas is completely shattered, her tears don’t seem to stop

“After Mathan’s accident I was completely shattered. I had no one other than my mom-in law by my side. I felt deserted...............................................soon our house started getting filled with unwanted relatives. People would come to our house in pretext to meet us, see Manthan in hospital, and would some how push their sons to be adopted by us. Seeing bad intensions of these people, my Mom in law declared that I was carrying Mathan’s Child and the result of confirmation was awaited.”

When I got to know about this I was amazed as I wasn’t pregnant at all....................

Mrs Rao and Mr Rao (amazed) What? Oh So there are many more Gordion Knots to be solved.......................................
