It Would Be An Honour

Trigger warnings: Death
The two jumped apart and Tatyana quickly threw her arms over her chest.
"Both of you boss's office now!" Yelled Avery.
Avery turned on their heel and headed down the corridor. People could hear the click of their high heeled boots in the hollow corridor, sending an echo through the room. When neither of the girls made a move to follow the leader, Avery screeched.
"Girls! When I give an order, I expect you to obey it!"
Kyoko and Tatyana slowly began to walk towards Avery. The leader grabbed their wrists and dragged them throughout the ancient building. Some of the girls snuck out of the classrooms to see what was happening. Most of them laughed as they saw Ezra's top student being hauled and treated just like the rest of them. Kyoko tried to join her and Tatyana's hands when they were away from their fellow students but Avery noticed and slapped their hands apart.
Tatyana could hear nothing but the blood rushing in her ears and the rapid beat of her heart. Her vision became hazy and disoriented. The black haired girl stumbled down the corridor and barely registered the pain in her wrists due to her loud and quick thoughts and the pain of the tightness of her chest. Her throat felt like it was closing itself and her breathing became laboured. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes but the green eyed girl forced them to stay put, making her vision even worse with the unshed tears.
"Both of you do up your shirts before we enter Ezra's office." Said Avery angrily.
Their dark skin was shining with sweat from the speedy trip to the staff quarters and then Mackay's room. The cornrows were tied up in a tight bun making them appear even more cross than usual.
The two girls swiftly redid the buttons on their shirts. Quickly but sloppily.
As soon as Tatyana and Kyoko no longer had their torsos on display, Avery rapidly knocked on the door until it was opened. But instead of Ezra, Natalya was the one that answered the door; her face angry and her usual black lipstick almost completely removed.
"What?" Asked Natalya bitterly. "Oh it's you. Avery what could you possibly have to report us this early on a Monday morning?"
Tatyana saw the panic in Natalya's eyes when she saw her and Kyoko.
"Well Natalya, not to be rude, but it doesn't concern you. It is something that the boss must be made aware of."
"Anything you can say to him you can say to me."
"No. I need to speak to Ezra!"
And then Avery attempted to shove Natalya out of the way but the blonde woman didn't budge. Luckily Ezra interrupted the two before anything could escalate.
"What's happening here? Oh hello Avery! What do you need to speak to me about?"
"There is some video footage you need to see and two students you need to talk to." Stated Avery with a emotionless voice. When Ezra walked past they spoke again. "Girls come on!"
Ezra forced himself to not let his shock, panic and sadness show when his eyes laid on Tatyana.
"Show me the footage then."
Avery fled to Ezra's computer and quickly brought up the video footage of Kyoko and Tatyana kissing. Kyoko's words were loud and clear and her accent made Tatyana smile a little. The boss and the mentor both stood still as they watched the video. Neither of them seemed particularly surprised by what they were seeing. The leader's face was smug, thinking they had discovered something the two most important people in this whole goddamn place hadn't.
When the video ended silence ran through the room. Avery broke that silence.
"Girls, would you care to explain to the three of us what that was?"
"Who gave you the right to give orders in my presence Avery?" Spat Ezra. "However the question remains, what was that?"
For a at least 30 seconds the two girls were completely quiet.
"I don't mean to offend but I think you know what that was." Answered Kyoko.
"Is this relationship a romantic one?" Questioned Ezra.
Both teenagers nodded.
"How long has this been going on?"
"Do you want an honest answer?"
"Yes Kyoko, I do."
Kyoko glanced over at Tatyana almost like she was asking if she could tell the truth. The look of fear in Tatyana's eyes was enough answer for Kyoko.
"Not long at all. I-I manipulated Tatyana i-in-into being with me." The stutter in her voice was fake and obviously so.
"I don't believe that for one second! That little girl there is clearly a filthy little minx. She's got a guilt writte-!"
"Shut your mouth about Tatyana, Avery!" Boomed Ezra.
The white haired man turned away from their African employee back to his students.
"I am heavily disappointed in both of you! Especially you Tatyana, I expected better from you! Now if the two of you could be so kind as to leave the room as we discuss your punishment. Sit in my side room, I don't want you running away."
Kyoko and Tatyana started heading up to the room.
"Oh and arm yourself before you leave! The guns are on that counter near the door."
Once the girls had left the room, Avery spoke up.
"They both were involved and they should both be punished!"
"Do we know that though? We have no evidence of their relationship before this incident, how could we possibly give the most fitting punishment?" Asked Natalya.
"Oh you just don't want your 'daughter' being hurt! She's the closest thing you'll ever have to family since the fire isn't she?"
Hurt flashed across Natalya's face.
"Enough! I will not have you insult both my trainee and my second in command!" Shouted Ezra Mackay.
"Okay. I still think that they both deserve severe consequences."
"We will arrange something. Avery you are free to leave and call off lessons for the day. Then round up all the leaders and bring them here!"
The brown eyed person scuttled away, leaving just Natalya and Ezra.
"I can't believe Kyoko would be that reckless! Didn't  she realise how much trouble she would cause?"
"Let's not worry about that right now Nat. We need to punish them."
"Ezra no! We are not killing Tatyana!"
"That's not what I was suggesting."
Ezra whispered in Natalya's ear.
"Oh. Are you sure?" Asked Natalya.
Ezra nodded.
"Okay. Let's do it then."
After a 10 minutes, Avery walked into the room with all the other leaders.
"All of you into the side room now!" Barked Ezra.
One by one the leaders filed into the room where Tatyana and Kyoko sat on the floor.
"We have decided on a punishment." Declared Ezra.
"Good. What have you chosen?" Asked Avery.
"You will see." Replied Natalya as strutted into the room.
"I'm tired, how long will this take?" Questioned Claudia.
"As long as I want it to." Answered Ezra coldly. "Tatyana, Kyoko stand!"
The two black haired girls stood.
Ezra gave them both guns.
"In a moment one of you will be asked to drop your gun. Then you need to listen to my orders. Understood?"
"Yes Ezra." Chorused the girlfriends.
"Kyoko, would you please drop your gun?"
The gun fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"Kneel in front of Tatyana." Ordered Ezra.
Kyoko fell to her knees.
"Ezra what's going on?" Asked Tatyana in a panicked tone.
"Tatyana, shoot her."
"No!"
Tatyana dropped her gun and ran in front of Kyoko.
"I'm not killing my girlfriend! I refuse!"
"Tatyana we have mad a decision. Nothing you say can make us change our mind. Save yourself the trouble and kill her."
"N-no!"
"Tatyana do it." Said Ezra through his teeth.
"TT, do it." Whispered Kyoko gently.
"W-What? Ky no! I'm not going to kill you!"
"Please TT. Better me than you."
"No, I can't!"
"Yes you can TT, you're strong."
"Don't make me do this." Mouthed Tatyana.
"Tatyana, please do it." Begged Kyoko. "If you can't do it to save yourself, do it for me."
Tatyana kneeled down to where Kyoko was.
"Just do it already girl!" Yelled Avery.
"Shut up Avery!" Natalya yelled back.
Tatyana's hands reached out to touch Kyoko's face. She joined their lips for a chaste kiss. Then she stood and pressed the barrel of her pistol to Kyoko's forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too TT."
For everyone else it was only a second and then Kyoko was dead.
But for Tatyana, it felt like twelve hours. She saw it all in slow motion as the tears ran down her face. Kyoko's limp body lay on the floor with her brains and blood splattered across it.
