Crofton ordered a new window, with Lacey fixing up some lamps. Lin replaced a few bulbs with Crofton's help.
"You know, this has got to be the worst robber on the planet," Amora said, opening an untouched drawer to check the insides, which were all still present. "None of the valuables were even touched."
"Or," Jade hummed as he brought down landry, "They wanted to scare or take something more valuable."
"What?" Crofton asked.
"You know... Violet or Tere?" Jade shrugged as he dropped the basket. "Look at these cute things." He pulls out a pair of Terence's boxers. "How cute."
"You are a monster." Lin threw a feather duster at him.
"Now, be careful." Amora glanced at him. "Terence is still fifteen."
"Shut it!" Jade smirked. "You should know me better." He laughed as he got the basket and left the room. He came back after a short bit, sitting down on the couch. Amora sat herself on the stair railing, almost looking like a perched bird in her spot.
"What did you think I was thinking?" Jade asked.
"What were you thinking?" She raised an eyebrow.
"How cute they are. Their so small and tiny!" Jade giggled.
"Well, Terence is still pretty small." She chuckled. "He still needs to hit his growth spurt, I bet."
"You think he might be taller than me?" Jade asked.
"It's possible." She snickered. "Wouldn't that be something. A giant Terence."
"No, it'd be scary!" Jade whined. "I like being taller than him."
"Why?" she questioned.
"So that I can reach things he can't, that I can carry him and so I can kiss him first." Jade smiled.
"Well, be ready if he turns into a giant one day." She chuckled.
"I will growth stunt him if I have to." Jade whispered.
"He might be too tall before you get the chance." She grinned. "Who knows how tall he is now."
"Are you hinting at something?" Jade asked, glaring at her with playfulness.
"Could be." She shrugged.
"You think they just pulled into the drive?" Lin asked, as Crofton put the glass into the window.
"Don't know." Amora looked out. "It doesn't look like their car..."
"Oh! It's Duke and Ryanne!" Lin waved at the two. They walked over to the door, knocking.
"Sup." Duke waved.
"Oh, hello." Amora nodded at them.
"They back yet?" Ryanne asked as she took of her boots.
"No, not yet." Amora sighed. "Probably won't be for awhile."
"How long is a while?" Lin asked, Duke took off his coat.
"I dunno. A few weeks at least, maybe a month." She shuddered. "Heaven knows I wouldn't want to stay in the place where I killed a man, self defense or not."
"I guess. How do you get blood out of the carpet?" Lin asked, standing over the carpet.
"Maybe I could make it hardwood instead." Crofton shrugged.
"Oh yeah, your dad owns the hardware store." Duke hummed.
"Dads." Crofton added.
"We probably shouldn't be tearing up their floors without their permission." Amora hopped from the railing.
