"ah, yeah. i just noticed these cute hamsters and i stopped here," you said.

"are you going to buy a pet now?"

you shook your head. "i can't really take care of a pet right now. but i think i will."

"tell me when you will so I can give you a hamster," he said.

"no linong. i'll buy one. can i just ask you to reserve that hamster for me?" you pointed at a white hamster.

"oh? i named him quanzhe."

"like li quanzhe? the guy with chubby cheeks?"

"why? does quanzhe know you actually named a hamster after him?"

"he knows. he said he was happy."

"that's fu xixi, i named him after chengcheng. it's his nickname."

months after, you finally can buy the hamster!

you went to the pet shop and saw kaihao, one of linong's friend.

"hey kaihao! you work here?" you asked.

kaihao smiled. "yeah, sometimes, especially if my allowance gets delayed."

linong emerged from the cashier area.

"y/n! you're here!" he said and returned to counting money. he was quite far from where you were but you can see him.

you blushed and kaihao noticed it.

he started to wink at you. "you like him, right?" he then wiggled his eyebrows.

you pouted. "hey, shut up! so what if i do?"

linong, far from you, could see your face as you talk to kaihao. from what he could deduce, you like kaihao.

"too bad. i like her, too. but if kaihao likes her, and she likes him-"

"nongnong! y/n likes to say something," kaihao shouted, interrupting his thoughts.

"i'll buy quanzhe now! shut up kaihao!" you tried to cover kaihao's mouth. before you could do that, he immediately ran to linong and whispered something.

"y/n likes you and she will really buy quanzhe now."
