The Kiss (Brix and Mia's Story)

Chapter 9

Bumalik sila sa table carrying their food and drinks. Walang magawa si Mia kung di magpretend na hindi niya sila maalala but she was dying inside and could not wait for this night to be over. She tried make herself calm and non chalant.

"What time did you guys arrive?"tanong ni Brix nong nakaupo na sila.

" Mga 30- 40 minutes ago," sagot ni Freya na umiinom na ng wine.

" Oo nga eh, nauna pa kami dito," kunyaring reklamo mo Liam.

" I had to pick up Mia pa," sabi ni Brix. At nagsimulang kumain ito.

Darius was staring at her for couple of minutes." You look so familiar,"nakangiting sabi ni Darius na parang may ibig sabihin." Have we met before? Parang na meet na kita eh "

Alam ni Mia na natatandaan siya nito and that he was pretending na hindi siya naalala nito.Probably waiting for her to say something. There is no way that she will, that for sure.

" I don't think so,"sagot ni Mia playing dumb na lang and slowly eating her food para may magawa siya.But they would not let it go.

" You know what Bro, you're right," sabi ni Liam na sumali din sa usupan. He looked intently at Mia ." You do look familiar."

" Have we seen you before? Like maybe in Gramercy ba?"pa simpleng tanong ni Caleb.

They are teasing her, she know. The mention of the bar made her suspicions right na alam ng mga ito. Ang hindi nakita ni Mia are the girls exchanged looks when Calee mentioned Gramecry bar and realize who she is.

"Yeah, maybe,"sagot na lang ni Mia." But I haven't been on that bar for awhile na."

Darius smiled." You don't say...."

Brix sense naMia was getting uncomfortable. He placed his arm on around her waist which was not lost on the group.Mia was quiet and continue eating her food na parang wala lang. She felt Brix's arm on her waist. This gesture somehow comforted her.

" Hey Bro, how's your new yacht? "tanong ni Brix kay Liam ni Brix para maiba ang usapan, although his arm never left Mia's waist.

That brighten Liam's face. "It is perfect, Bro.Di ko pa na break in. You will be amazed on how cool it looks. Want to try it next weekend?"excited na tanong nito." Let's party at the yacht."

"Do you even know how the sail it?" tanong ni Zoey." Ayokong maging Cast-away no."

Tumawa ang grupo." I'm going to learn but no, not yet. I hired somebody to do it for now so don't worry.Hind maka- cast away Zoe,"sagot ni Liam na nakangisi.'Come on guys, we can stay over night or two in the sea."

"Overnight?" sabi ni Kathleen." How many rooms do you have in the yacht?'

" Four bedrooms"nakangiting sabi Liam.

" Wow!" sabi ni Darius." I'm down for next Saturday."

" Yeah me too,"sagot ni Caleb."What do say ladies?"

Excited sina Freya, Kathleen and Zoey to go." You're coming too, right Mia?'tanong ni Zoey.

Nagulat si Mia ng tinanong siya nito. Napatingin siya sa mga babae."M-me......n-no.......I-I can't" sagot ni Mia.

"Come on, sama ka na. It will be fun,"pilit ni Kathleen na nakitang kumindat sa kanya si Brix. Hindi nakita ni Mia yon but the other girls did. Brix was trying to signal them to convince Mia to go.

" Oo nga naman," dugtong ni Freya." Do you have to work on a weekend?"

" Half day,"sinagot ni Brix bago pa makasagot ito .
