Chapter 14

Hectic ang schedule ni Mia ngayon Monday. Brix had called her early this morning. She texted him that she has a lot of patients to see at the hospital and then diretso na siya sa clinic mamaya giving him a hint to not call her today.

He texted her back " Make sure you eat though okay.Dont work too hard. Love you Babe.

Despite herself, that made her shake her head. She could not help but smile at the text. He is really relentless.

Lunch time na ng matapos ang round niya. Umupo siya sa nurses station to start doing her progress notes. She wants to get done early para may time siya to undwind before going to the clinic.

" Ma'm delivery po for Dr. Mia Alana,"narinig niyang sinabi.

She looked up from the computer. Bouquet of red roses ang dala dala ng delivery guy. Kinuha ni Ilene and nag sign." Thank you,"sabi nito sa nagdeliver.

Inabot kay Ilene ang roses. Pagkatapos ay lumapit kay Mia."Doc, may nagpadala ng flowers sa inyo,'sabi nito na kinikilig.

Nakunot ang noo ni Mia na kinuha ang flowers. May small card na nakaipit. Ipinatong muna nito ang roses sa table at kinuha ang card. She opened the envelope and took the card out to read.

Kahit gusto niyang mainis kay Brix ay hind niya magawa. She smiled for the second time this day because of him. Hmmmmm, this is bad. She knows that she is in deep trouble."Doc, pakilala mo naman kami sa boyfriend mo,"tukso ni Ilene.

"Ang sweet naman ng boyfriend mo Doc. Biro mo alam niya kung saan ipapadeliver na station ang roses,"sabi rin ng isang nurse na si Delia.

Ngumit lang si Mia." Not my boyfriend,"sabi lang niya. Close na rin ang mga nurses na ito sa kanya. Sa araw araw ba na lang silang nagkikita dito.

" Naku Doc, sagutin mo na,"tukso ng mga ito.

" Oo nga Doc, tapos pakilala mo sa amin" urge ni Ilene.

Ngumiti lang siya sa mga ito, shaking her head.

She is really tired today. After na lumabas ang last patient niya ay hindi muna siya tumayo sa upuan niya.She closed her eyes for a moment. She didn't know how long she sat there with her eyes closed until she felt somebody massaging her shoulders.She immediately opened her eyes.

" Hi Babe,"sabi ni Brix." You look exhausted."he said while massaging her shoulder.

" Im tired" sabi niya and didn't even ask Brix to stop.She was too exhusted to complain or argue.

" Did you eat lunch?'tanong ni Brix.

" Had a sandwich,'sagot ni Mia. It actually felt good that Brix is massaging her shoulders.

Brix stop massaging her shoulder."Sandwich? That's it?"tanong nito." Come on, let's go. I need to feed you."sabi pa.

Mia was too tired to argue so tumayo ito and they started going out the door.

Nasa parking lot na sila ay tutuloy sana si Mia sa kotse niya.

"Where are you going?"tanong ni Brix and stopping her by holding her hand.
