B.S. Day 1 - "Anything you want to tell me?"

The day passed rather quickly.

Did some paperworks, met a few clients, and just the usual office stuff.

"Y/N," Jina called, walking over to my desk. She was around the same age as me, 5.7 ft tall, had orange hair, was a crackhead and an ARMY.

"Hm?" I didn't peel my eyes off from my computer screen.

"I just got a ticket for BTS' fansign! One of my friends gave it to me as a gift and we're going there together!" She was sure happy, squealing and smiling so much.

Should I tell her that I'm friends with them?

"That's great," I sang, smiling at her. "Tell me what happened after you meet them."

"Of course!"

"How did your friend get them though," one of my colleagues, Jaewook asked from his desk. "Aren't they close to impossible to get?"

She hummed smugly, waving the ticket. "I guess we're lucky then."

"By the way, Y/N, where do you live?" Jaewook suddenly asked me. "If you live near one of us, why don't you go with us?"

"Oh, sorry. I have a meeting after work." I smiled apologetically at him. "Maybe next time?"

He nodded before grabbing his bag. "See you all on Monday," he exclaimed, waving at everyone and walking out the door.

"Psst, Y/N."

I turned to look at Jina giving me a weird smile. "What?"

"I might be wrong but I think he's interested in you," she whispered while leaning down. "He never asked any one of us where we lived. And the way he's been looking at you since yesterday, especially during lunch... I don't knowww..."

My cheeks reddened but I quickly shook my head. "Let's not jump to conclusions."

With my bag flung over my shoulder, I waved them all goodbye and practically speed walked out of the building.

Taking out my ringing phone, I accepted the call, swiftly bringing it up against my ear.

"Yes, I'm coming now."

The evening breeze was gentle but little bit chilly that I had to hug my body to keep it warm. People were hustling and bustling around, the city getting busier during this time of the day.

Ah, adult life... How fun...

Going to work when it's dark and coming back home when it's dark.

"Okay, see you there." I hung up.

My boot heels were clicking against the pavements as I hastened to the ice cream cake cafe. I needed to meet him, to hear the truth from the man himself. That image of them laughing together inside the restaurant was haunting me since yesterday.

I needed to hear it from him to at least make up my mind to put an end to my feelings for him. I wanted to hear him say that he was happy with her.

If he really was... then who was I to ruin his happiness?

His happiness was my happiness.

That would be my answer.

Pushing the door, I went inside the cafe and spotted Jungkook who was beaming at me. These boys really need to wear disguises more often.

Taking my seat, I locked our gazes. He wasn't shying away, but was marveling at my features instead.

I was the one who got flustered.

"How was your day?" His eyes softened as he placed his elbows on the table, cupping his face with his hands. "Are you tired?"

Tired? I'm fucking exhausted!

"Kind of," I sighed, taking the menu. "But I can manage, so you don't have to worry. How about you?"

He dropped his head on the table, looking up at me with bambi eyes. "I'm really tired," he whined, pouting. "I wanna hibernate for three years."

I giggled. "Why three?"

"It's long." He scrunched his nose, grinning at me.

Why is he so cute...

"Wrap me in a blanket, Y/N," he cooed before flailing his hands, making my heart squeeze. He looked really cuddly and soft.

Contain yourself, Y/N. Remember what you're here for.

"Jungkook?" I started carefully.

"Hm?" He lifted his head and fluttered his eyes.

"Do you have anything you want to tell me?"

His eyes wandered the place in confusion as he tried to remember what he forgot.

"I don't...?" He blinked at me.

"Nothing you're meaning to tell me?" I mumbled with disappointment.

After a brief pause, he shook his head with his eyebrows furrowed.

He doesn't even think that I'm worthy of knowing his love life? Did I become that insignificant?

What was worse than hearing him say that he was dating someone was knowing that he was lying to me. I truly thought that he at least valued what we had before...

...But I guess I was wrong.

Feeling unable to breathe, I abruptly stood up from my chair and rushed to the door, wanting nothing else but to get away from him.

Flinging the door open, I sped to the nearest bus stop. My eyes were stinging with unwanted tears, and I kept telling myself not to cry and look pathetic in front of others, but sobs were bubbling inside my chest, threatening to burst forth any second.

"Y/N," Jungkook kept calling from behind as he ran after me.

Go away.

"Y/N," he huffed after he reached me and held my shoulders, turning me to himself to make me look at him. "Why- did you- suddenly leave me? Did I- say something wrong?"

I squinted my eyes at him, keeping my mouth closed shut.

"Y/N," he whispered, searching my eyes desperately.

Air blew past me and I turned around to see my bus stopping behind me.

Releasing myself from Jungkook's grip, I ignored his calls and got on the bus, taking my seat at the far back.

When I glanced at the window with the swan pendant in my hand, I saw Jungkook looking back at me, his face twisted in pain, his eyes carrying untold sadness in them.

But that didn't mean anything to me...

He hid the truth from me...

He lied to me.
