"Let's go!" Rahmir growled as I was grabbed out of the car by my hair.
"What's wrong with you? What human being would treat someone like this let alone the mother of their child? Sick bastard!" I yelled. I tried my best to keep my composure but, I have never felt so betrayed in my life. Did he forget he told me to rob this guy and now they are suddenly the best of friends.
We were surrounded by trees and darkness. There was very little light and the small abandoned house we were walking up to looked like it was gonna fall down at any given moment. I noticed there was a road about two miles from here.
The day I'm able to escape I'll be able to run to that road which most likely will lead to somebody that'll be able to help me. If I were able to get at least one of them to leave I should be able to fight the other with the defense techniques I learned when I took boxing lessons. If I'm lucky they'll both leave and if they happen to lock the door I'll be able to pick the lock with the safety pins I have in my pocket. I always kept safety pins just in case me or Ciara broke a zipper or button while we were out. Just thinking about my daughter had me on the verge of tears, I had to get out of here.
We walked into the small abandoned house. Surprisingly the inside was decent despite it felt like a damn oven in here. I discreetly looked around the small house searching for windows or other exits and weapons. There was only one window, the door we entered through, and a few pots that I could use.
"What time is it?" Ant called to Rahmir while he continued to look around.
"9:45." A sigh of relief accidently slipped from my mouth hearing it was almost 10pm because Asia was supposed to be meeting me at my apartment tonight. Asia will instantly realize something is wrong. My car is parked at my house and me not being there will raise a red flag. My phone is also somewhere near my apartment. When I bumped into the fat greasy man that drove us to this hellhole I dropped my phone and I'm sure nobody picked it up because my phone shattered once it hit the pavement.
"Alright so, here's how this is gonna work. You'll be here until I feel like you suffered enough for every penny you took from me. I honestly was gonna leave you alone because you being able to rob me was an eye opener, whenever I leave my house I got at least two people with me that'll make sure nothing happens to me, I even stopped keeping more than five thousand dollars on me at a time. Oh yeah I definitely stopped drinking, I was too drunk to pay attention to whatever you put in that "beer" you gave me. I make well over twenty thousand dollars on the daily basis, that was chump change that you took. But, letting you live flew out the window when you crossed my friend over here, the man that made sure I didn't end your life when you stole from me. Do you know who I am? Do you know who we are?" He chuckled. "What did you even do with my money, huh? Where's the twenty thousand dollars?
I laughed a little. "When I got my cut? You wanna know what I did with my portion of the money?" I knew exactly what I was doing. I wanted him to understand the encounter we had wasn't something I came up with on my own.
"Cut? Portion? You had help didn't you? So tell me who helped you!" He asked angrily. He was now standing directly in front of me grabbing my face roughly.
"You might wanna ask your "friend". Matter of fact, I'll tell you my damn self. Your so called friend over there set this all up, he planned everything. The person that helped me is standing right next to you." I gritted through my teeth as his grip on my face grew tighter as I spoke. I looked behind him to see Rahmir smiling before quickly shrugging his shoulders.
"You don't think you got yourself in enough shit? Now you wanna lie, you just making everything I got planned for you worse." He said letting my face go.
"I'll be back." He said to Rah lowly thinking I couldn't hear him. Anthony walked out the door shortly after.
Rahmir looked out of the peephole of the door before turning back to look at me. He quickly approached me, I'm guessing to say something before Ant returned.
"You better be lucky he didn't believe you." He slapped me before I could respond to him. "Try something else slick, I dare you."
I wanted to say and do so much but, as usual the odds were against me. My eyes widened once they landed on Anthony and what he carried in his hands. There was a long chain that he was slightly struggling to carry due to its thickness and a blanket. My biggest concern was the chain.
Rahmir looked at me and rubbed his hands together while grabbing the chain from Anthony. "You wanted to lie to him not that long ago and act like a bitch? Well now you can get chained up like one. Why would I have to steal from anybody? Me and Anthony make way too much money, especially together for me to ever have to take anything from anyone. All those nice things and money I was giving you was from me trapping with Anthony, being the right hand man to a kingpin paid me well. I made enough money that I considered leaving the game for good. I took a break to be there for you when you needed me and this is how you repay me? Now I'm back and I ain't going nowhere! Me and my daughter will be better off without you." This man deserves an academy award. The way he just lied had me at a lost for words. I had no idea Rahmir was anything other than a terrible rapper who sold drugs when he had time. I knew he sold drugs but I never knew he was apart of Anthony's crew. Anthony was known by a few people but mainly kept a low profile to avoid the cops from gaining any information on his drug empire. Everything was slowly beginning to make sense, only someone close to Ant would know he was gonna be in the VIP lounge at the club that night. Rahmir played both of us, he still is.
Anthony scoffed and shook his head. "You're ungrateful. Most of these hoes would love to be taken care of but you wanted to be greedy and steal from me. No wonder why Rah kept you away from the crew, you weren't worthy enough to be around." I rolled my eyes.
"Roll them again and I'll take them out." He gripped my hair as he whispered into my ear. He then dragged me to the back of the home before I was being chained in a small room located in the back that was hidden behind a bookshelf. They left shortly after making sure I had no access to anything in the room. As soon as they slammed the door shut and locked it from the outside I heard them having a heated conversation.
"All I'm saying is she better be lying about you helping her set me up or else you'll end up with everybody else that crossed me!" Anthony shouted. After he finished yelling I heard nothing else. All that could be heard now was my sobbing. I have been through so much in my life and I continue to get the bad end of the stick. This is another thing I must overcome. I swear after I get out of here I'm moving to another country and changing my name. A new identity and a new start, just me and my baby.
You can do this Briyana. Ciara is waiting for you. Mom and Dad are waiting for you. Asia is waiting for you. Jayda needs you. You have to be strong and use your mind. I rocked myself back and forth allowing my mind to wander. My thoughts gave me enough courage to create different escape plans and scenarios that will get me one step closer to returning to my family.
But can I really do this?
