"mom?" sowon breathed out, shocked to see her mother walk in through the doors. her mother quietly walked in, making her way past the now silent boys that lessened their grip on hyunjin who was still on the bed.

after sowon's mother made a huge entrance, two tensed figures walked in, hesitant to face the outcome once they came in.

tears sprung to areum's eyes when she saw her parents worriedly looking around the room. she blinked them away quickly when her mother marched forward to pull her into a tight hug.

"areum, dear!" her mother wailed, causing felix beside her to uncomfortably shift in his spot. he slowly began to creep away, trying hard not to be embarrassed when he almost tripped over his own feet as he had accidentally bumped into the food container from earlier.

areum let out a shaky breath, mustering up her voice that she thought was lost when seeing her mother and asked, "what are you guys doing here?"

"we stopped the meeting from continuing on when we heard you were hospitalized," her father spoke lowly, causing chills to run down felix's neck when he passed by to go to the other boys. areum's father grinned at him. "felix!"

"mr. kwon..." felix trailed off, unable to continue with his sentence as he was caught off guard when hearing his name be called randomly.

mr. kwon chuckled. "it's nice to see all of you boys standing in the same room together." his eyes lingered on hyunjin a bit longer though, and he furrowed his brows. "hyunjin? how've you been, kid?"

hyunjin didn't appear nervous in front of mr. kwon as he had known areum's parents longer than the other boys standing in the room.

"i've been well," he replied shortly, glancing at areum who now detached herself away from her mother's soft embrace. they both met each other's eyes, but he could see the sadness in hers. that worried him.

"who told you?" areum questioned, but it was an obvious answer when her mother told her.

"sowon's mother did." all eyes casted at the old woman in her early forties, clutching onto her daughter as if her life depended on it.

"mrs. kwon," sowon spoke out softly, "mr kwon." both her parents snapped in sowon's direction. "i'm terribly sorry for the trouble i caused four years ago. i'm responsible for the damage i have caused, and i would like to ask for forgiveness-"

"-quit the talking," mrs. kwon muttered coldly, her eyes trained on sowon hard. sowon's mother tightened her grip on sowon, whispering in her ears to calm down after sensing how stiff her daughter was next to her. "this happened four years ago. areum may not remember all of her memories, but i can only hope that you will help her and hyunjin get them back no matter how hard it is."

sowon stayed quiet a little while. she bit on her bottom lip before firmly nodding her head, "alright. i'll help them get their memories back now that i'm here."

mrs. kwon smiled widely while mr. kwon began to fist bump with the boys. though areum was the only child in her family, the boys were like her brothers too.

mr. kwon was fond of chan, however. maybe it was because of the weird things they have in common. this is not to be considered weird, but mr. kwon would give tips about building muscles to chan when he's going to the gym.
