A Ford LTD was parked in front of the Martinez's. A man with a baggy white t-shirt and bandana stood by it. From the gleaming cross, I could easily identify him as Santos. Oscar walked ahead of us, while I fell backwards to cheer up a brooding Caesar. "You wanna talk about it?" I nudged his shoulder with mine. He gave me a weak smile, shaking his head 'no'. I threw an arm on his shoulder, pulling him closer. "All will be good."
"Will it?" He sighed.
"I promise," I tightened my grasp around him, "now, I better let you go or Oscar will kill you." Caesar laughed, looking at a glaring Oscar.
I pinched his cheek. "You're cuter than Spooky, Lil' Spooky." My voice loud enough for Oscar to hear, who merely rolled his eyes, a small smile tugging his lips.
Caesar climbed into the back. I made my way to climb in after him, but Oscar's hand gripped mine. I looked up in question. He turned his face towards the other Santos member. "Choky, climb in the back, homie."
Choky nodded his head, smirking. He climbed back, and Oscar motioned for me to sit in front. I rolled my eyes, turning to look at Caesar. "I think he's jealous."
"Definitely." Caesar laughed.
Oscar climbed in with an eyebrow quirked in question. I stuck my tongue out at him. He leaned in closer to my ears. "Bad lil' hyna." He whispered, his hot breath brushing against my skin. I could feel the hair on my back stand still as a shiver of pleasure passed through my body. He kissed my cheek before pulling away and driving me to Jada's.
I glanced at Oscar, every now and then, his eyes had a calculating look as he stared at the road. I wondered what sort of 'jobs' he would have his younger brother do. Reminding myself to lecture him about the 'run' Caesar had to do. Stupid cholo.
The tires came to a halt. I smiled cheerfully at an enthusiastic best friend waiting for me by my car. By the looks of it, she would be pressing me for embarrassing details. I brushed hand through my hair. Twisting my body, I pecked Oscar's cheek and left the car. Waving at the brothers before climbing into my own car. Jada joined me. Her eyes scanned the outfit I borrowed from Olivia. "Woah, chica [girl] became a cholo's rica [girlfriend]?" Eyebrows wiggling, she smirked.
"Zorra [bitch]." I laughed swatting her arm.
I pulled out the car from their driveway and headed home. Filling Jada on the way.
"So, hold up, hold up!" Her hands motioned about as if fumbling for words. "You pulled him to the dance floor thinking he was just a random guy?"
I nodded my head.
"How buzzed were you?"
"I only had a beer." I shrugged in response.
"And yet, you kissed him after slapping him and yelling at him. You kissed him?!"
I nodded my head, lightly laughing.
"Jesus." She fell into a contemplating silence.
"In my defense, I was following your advice." I threw a glance her way, smirking.
"You're not really suppose to follow my advices." Throwing an excuse before adding. "I follow yours, but never the other way round."
"¿No es un consejo? [Isn't that advice?]" I pointed out.
"The only good one." Chuckled Jada.
I shook my head, laughing.
