“Hey” I heard him say from behind me. I stood there for a second, debating on what I should do next. I turned around when I heard him clear his throat as if to say something else but stopped when we were finally facing one another.
“Hi” I said. He looks so handsome. I thought. We stood there looking at each other in what felt like forever. The awkward silence was helping no one. “Um…” He spoke as he finally broke the silence.
“Yes?” I replied.
“Your new song. I like it.”
“Thank you.” I replied back. I felt my cheek get a little warm at his compliment.
“How have you been?” He asked. I looked up at him, confused for a second at the fact that we were really having a conversation after months of nothing.
“I’ve been ok.” I answered. “Actually, I’ve been really tired lately. Our schedules keep me constantly busy” I was surprised at how honest I was being with him. “But it’s nothing compared to you guys schedule with the constant traveling back and forth, right?” I awkwardly asked him. I looked up when he didn’t reply back. He had a look of surprised and probably confused as well. Did I say something wrong? I thought to myself.
“You’ve been paying attention to our schedule?” He asked with a surprised look.
Shit, I thought. Did I just expose myself? “Umm…well yeah…” I answered. “I mean, it’s on the news all the time. So yeah, everyone knows how busy you guys have become.”
“Oh, yeah…the news” he replied back. Was there a hint of disappointment in his tone? I wondered. “Well regardless how busy your schedule is, you should be careful. Take care of yourself”
“You too” I replied.
We fell into another awkward uncomfortable silence again. We both didn’t know what to say after that, which is why I was thankful when his member came looking for him. We bid our goodbyes and went our separate ways. The moment I knew he left and I was clear, my legs gave out and I collapsed on the floor using the wall to support me. I didn’t know I was holding my breath throughout that whole time. On the floor is where my unnies found me.
“Tzuyu! Are you ok?” Sana asked. As she and Dahyun came rushing towards me.
“Yeah. I’m ok” I said as they were helping me back up from the floor.
“What happened?” Dahyun asked.
“I ran into Jungkook shi”
“Oh my gosh, you too?” Asked Sana.
“Huh? What do you mean, you too?” I asked confused. Who else ran into Jungkook? I thought
“Mina unnie. We were all waiting for you to return and Mina unnie left to go look for you. When she returned she had a breakdown and started crying hysterically. We tried to calm her down but she kept mumbling how it was her fault and next thing you knew she passed out from all her crying. Manager unnie rushed her to the hospital. Nayeon, Momo and Jihyo unnie went with her” Dahyun said.
“Oh my gosh, is she ok?” I asked. “We don’t know but we gotta get going.”
We rushed to our van where the rest of my members were waiting. We were told that we are going straight to our dorm and we’ll get an update on Mina’s condition from home. There was too many of us and it’ll become suspicious if we were all to go to the hospital. It was clear that the agency does not want the media to know about Mina’s condition.
As we arrived to our dorm, we all went to our respective rooms to get ready for nightly routines. We moved from our first dorm where I use to be roommates with Dahyun and Chaeyoung to our new dorm/apartment which was much bigger, more rooms and bathrooms. I was still roommates with Chaeyoung. Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Momo unnie shared the biggest room. Sana and Dahyun unnie were roommates and Mina and Jihyo unnies were the other roommates.
