Chapter 10

When Shen Wei's parents left for their vacation, Zhao is also about to leave for his room yet a hand pull him back crashing into a warm embrace.

"Prof. Zhao Yunlan." Shen Wei calls him with a stern voice.

"Y-yes?"

"I want to know what you discussed with my parents while I was kicked out."

"Nothing serious, just this and that."

"Aye, come on. Prof. Zhao, I have a feeling that you're hiding something from me. Or did my parents tell you to leave me? Are they paying you to leave me? No, no, you can't do that!"

Zhao gets out of the warm arms and looks at Shen Wei with disbelief.

"Your parents didn't say such thing. We were talking mostly about me. I guess your parents wanted to know about their son's neighbor."

"Are you sure that's all you talk about?"

"Your mother did mention about a lot of your ex and those that you have flirted."

"Ha ... ha ... ha ... but now I have only you. You're so captivating that I can't look elsewhere anymore."

Zhao snickers at the claim.

"I swear I'm telling the truth. Anyway, I miss you so much." He blurts out trying to change the topic. "And you'll be staying with me here in my room cause I still need someone to look after me as instruct by the doctor."

"Really? I remember the doctor said that you have someone watch over you for few days and now it already passed." Zhao sarcastically mocks back.

"I don't care. My few days are not yet over, so you're staying."

In the end, after protesting with multiple reasons that he could think of, Zhao gives up and stays with him. Sometimes he wonders if he's giving up too easily or he doesn't intend to refuse his request from the start. It's the former, right?

"Do you want to play games with me?" Shen Wei asks as he bring out his PS4.

"No, thank you. I'll just watch you play." Actually, he's reading the book that he brought with him, but he'll look up to the TV screen to see the game that Shen Wei is playing from time to time. When Zhao looks up this time, it's showing a romantic scene of a love confession which gets him thinking.

'Unexpectedly, I got his parents approval to be in a relationship with Shen Wei. Then how should I answer his confession? Should I just say I love you too?' Zhao thought to himself while staring blankly at the TV.

"... Zhao .... Prof. Zhao .... Zhao Yunlan." Shen Wei calls his full name which snaps Zhao out of his train of thoughts. "What were you thinking about that makes you so lost in thoughts? Were you thinking about me?"

"O-of course not." Zhao pushes up his glasses and continue to read the book that's in front of him. Yet the contents of the book didn't register in his mind at all. He'll have to find some other time to read it again.

Shen Wei couldn't help but to slip a chuckle at the failed denial from Zhao. Base on the stuttering and shade of pink on his face, he was definitely thinking something about him. Then Zhao asks him 2 things that later on sends him over the moon.

"Um ... Chief Shen." Zhao starts but not looking at the man. "Since we're friends for a while, I think you can just call me Yunlan." Then peeks at Shen Wei, but he seems uncomfortable? "Or you can still call me Prof. Zhao as usual, if you're not comfortable."

"NO! From now on, I'm going to call you Yunlan. MY Yunlan, to be exact." Shen Wei says grinning from ear to ear. "And you sir, call me Shen Wei. No more Chief Shen, okay?"
