After about fifteen minutes of waiting, Jackson arrived at my house.

"Come on in!" Derek shouted loud enough for Jackson to hear before he could even knock.

"Good evening sir." Jackson smiled and took a seat beside me.

"Now' I had her to invite you over because I wanted to apologize for my wife and stepson's behavior." Derek shook his head.

"It's quite alright." Jackson tried to force a smile.

"Who's here?" Josh began walking downstairs.

"Speak of the needle in the haystack." I rolled my eyes.

"Needle in the haystack?" Derek raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know. I think I heard it in school or something." I shrugged.

"Oh gosh. Mother isn't even gone thirty minutes and-"

"Shut it, Josh. Okay?" Derek put a hand up.

"Excuse me?" Josh walked closer to Derek. "I only listen to-"

"Janice I know." Derek rolled his eyes. "But she isn't here and I don't know when she'll be back. So for the time being, hush it."

Josh made a huffing and puffing noise and headed back for the stairs.

"Good thing." I said.

"You'll love him one day." Jackson nudged me.

"Yeah."

"I'm serious!"

Ring-Ring!

"It's Alx." I rolled my eyes before answering.

"Hey baby." Alx's voice sounded calm as ever.

"Hi Alx." I groaned.

"Don't sound so upset baby, how about tonight I come and pick you up? we could say we're going to the movies, but we'll pull over and-"

"No Alx." I demanded.

"Baby?" he pleaded.

"Don't call me that." I shook my head.

I looked over as I heard Jackson say something to Derek.

"I know what this is about." Alx laughed. "Jackson is there, so you're becoming a bit-"

"Shut up Alx!" I yelled.

"Oh no you go ahead and have fun with your gay friends, Megan! go ahead and have fun with every guy-or girl- on this street you little-"

"We're through! Don't call! don't text! just leave me alone!" Click.

"You okay?" Jackson asked.

"Fine. He just said some things that weren't very nice." I forced a smile.

"How about you kids go for a walk?" Derek smiled.

Something from upstairs landed with a crash.

"I need to work with Josh." Derek added.

"Alright. Come on Jackson." I smiled.

I got to the door but had to stop after my phone vibrating.

You'll pay for this.

Shut up, Alx.

"You okay?" Jackson asked once again. "You're glaring at your screen."

"I'm fine, it's just Alx." I smiled and opened the door.

After fifteen minutes, we still remained walking. Talking. Laughing.

Another text.

I don't know if you still have my number, but it's Cole in case you don't. Meet me at the park. Please? Thanks.

"Everything okay?" I realized I stopped walking completely.

"Yeah, it's just Cole wants me to meet him at the park." I raised an eyebrow.

"I'm going with." Jackson demanded.

***************

We arrived at the park and waited for us was Alx, Zach, and three unknown men, along with the two cheerleader twins.

"Where's Cole?" I asked.

"He's over there digging in the dirt for his phone." Alx moved his head towards the right. I looked over and there was Cole. Digging in the dirt.

"So he wasn't the one that texted me?"

"Of course not. He thinks you're mad a him."

"Who are they?" Jackson asked.

"This one" Alx pointed to the first guy on the right. "Is Jeremy."

Jeremy was pretty well built, much like a football player. He had green eyes and black hair into a buzz cut.

"Beside him is Adam."

Adam was tall, blonde, and country. Adam looked like the type that wouldn't hurt anyone. He looked perhaps a little geeky. He was also built strong.

"And last but but least, Tyler."

Tyler was tall, a little chunky, and dark-skinned. Tyler looked like he was trying to grow his hair in an Afro. Tyler could play football but obviously didn't bye the way he was acting.

"Megan." Carly smirked.

"Carly. Cameron." I glared at them.

"Anyway." Alx smiled. "Remember how the first day we came down here I mentioned 'my people?' Well here they are. I just added Carly and Cameron a few days ago."

"Yeah, and what are they here for?" I rolled my eyes.

"Megan I told you." Alx chuckled. "You would pay."

Before I knew it, Adam began charging towards Jackson. Carly and Cameron came after me.

"What shall we do to her?" Carly had my hair tight in her fist.

"I don't know." Cameron smiled. "But let's start off easy."

Slap!

After minutes of slaps, kicks, and punches, Alx commanded everyone to stop. At my right, there was Jackson, blood running from his nose.

"I'm serious!" I heard Cole yell. "You need to stop this nonsense!"

"Shut up fat ass!" Alx laughed. "Go play in the dirt some more."

Just then police showed up.

"What?"

"By the way," Cole walked away from Alx, towards the squad car. "I called the police."
