Chapter 2 - Marcus Life

Marcus POV

8:00 am

I groan as my alarm echos throughout my room, I quickly turn it off and sit up. Rubbing the sleepiness off my eyes. I stretch a bit and check my phone for today's schedule.

9:50 am - 12:00 - Check Ports and Stock

12:30 pm - 1:45 pm - Lunch with the Guys

2:00 pm - 3:50 pm - Check up on Company sats and employees

4:00 pm -7:00 pm & 8:00pm - 9:00 pm - Meeting with Allies

I sigh at my short but long schedule and head to the bathroom to wash up. Once I'm done I put on some dress pants, shoes and shirt while carrying my coat. I head downstairs following the sweet smell of waffles and bacon. Once I'm downstairs I see my sister Ruby watching a youtube video while munching on her breakfast. "Good Morning."

She looks at me and smiles, "Morning!" She gets up and grabs my plate, I thank her and we continue eating while having small talks here and there.

"Can I please do your makeup bro!" I continue to eat, "No." She drinks some water and sucks in a lot of air, "PLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEE!" I chuckle a bit, "Yelling please doesn't change my answer." She groans and starts to eat her fruit silently.

"So what do you have planned for today sis?" I watch her as she starts to scroll through her calendar, "I have to finish up a couple of dresses and ship them to some lucky boys and girls, then I have to go to the gym and follow up on a couple of future customers." I nod, "Don't forget we have dinner at 7."

She smiles, "Of course!" We quickly finish up our meal and head out. Usually, she would have her own place but things have been a little hectic in the Mafia world, so she's staying with me for a little while.

I get in my car and drive over to the docs, once I get there I collect the updates being recorded and give my employees new locations on where they're going to put the new shipment of weapons, drugs, and money. 

I check the time to see it's already 12:15 pm, so I collect some last minute papers and head over to Ita, the restaurant I'm meeting the boys at. Once I pull up, I walk to the front and the young lady asks for my name.

"Marcus Roseno." She becomes a bit nervous and escorts me to the balcony on the roof. Once I get up there I see the Rucci brothers, Lucus and Mario. Once they see me they wave at me and I take my seat. We talk like we haven't seen each other in years, and catch up on our lives. 

"Marcus you need a girl in your life!", Mario says with a dramatic groan. Lucus agrees with him, "Yeah, you always look like you have a shark up your ass. Any girl will love to be with you despite your grumpy-looking face." I sigh a bit,  "You guys have no room to talk." 

They give me a small glare and Lucus speaks up, "We have our own life too, we're trying to win the heart of our trainer, the one that trains your sister. What's her name again?" Mario thinks for a moment, "Imani, but she never spars us a second glance! We have talked with her before and from what shes told us she doesn't have anyone!" 

I shake my head, "I'm not looking for any type of girl, I have already had a couple of those and they were nothing special. All they wanted was my money and power, I'm looking for a woman. A woman that will conquer the mafia world with me, we'll be untouchable. I want a woman who is smart, brave and doesn't give two shits about the amount of money I have." 

They look at me for a moment and laugh a bit, "Good luck with that dude." 

My lunch soon came to an end, and I made my way to a couple of my major companies to make sure the place wasn't in shambles. 

Walking through the building, I'm greeted by my busy employees. They don't give me a second glance, due to the fact that they don't even know what I look like. I see some slacking off so I call them up to the 'Bosses' office. Once they all line up I inform them of my identity and fire them. Once I'm done I leave and tell the woman at the front desk to find some people to fill in the 6 ex-employees.

I head back home and make my way to my office and begin to start my online meeting with other allied mafia groups. 

After that, I have dinner with my sister and I get the meeting room ready for a couple of local allies in the states. Tonight we discuss a major issue arising in the mafia world. The Blue Bloods is the name they go by, they've been kidnapping members of different mafia groups and using them as leverage. So far there only using soldiers and lower ranks but sooner or later they're going to use close family members.

Our next meeting will be held in a month or two, once our meeting is over I say goodnight to Ruby. As soon as the door closes, I strip and slide under the covers letting the darkness engulf me. 

This is my life. At first, it was exciting, but now it's just stressful and boring. It could be worst and it could be better.
